scaling cost for port timer

Recommended Posts

So the new setup will be a timer costing 500k for a 3 hour window. Why not have a scaling timer cost?

a 4 hour window could cost 400k,  5 hour 300k, 6 hour 200k, 7 hour 100k.

thoughts?

Yes, although the prices could be increased. 100k is nothing and 7 hours is still less than a third of the day.

a 6 hour window could cost 400k,  8 hour 300k, 10 hour 200k, 12 hour 100k?

I like the concept/idea

Still a nonsense to pay 500k for a 3 hours pb timer. It should begin with 350k max.

The funny thing is that most of the complaints and new suggestion threads could have been avoided if @admin changes it from 500k into something more reasonable, like 250k.

I wonder how many trading trips will do every week captain reverse after tomorrow patch, how the hell a 500k PB timer will not encourage empty PBs, how dedicated RVR players will turn into pure farmers of gold to keep playing some good RVR, how nations/clans/communities without profitable ports are going to end, how much drama and salt this is going to cause.

Or just go with regional servers and be done with all the tz problems.. Gold won't ever be a problem as long as the Econ is as broken as it is.. Losing a PB and not be able to take it back due to daft timers however will cause no end of grief and players will leave the game because of it..

As long as ports matter in terms of rvr resources and accessibility, as long will a global server be bound to fail..

Or remove the importance of ports from the econ and there would be no other incentive to RvR than the battles..

Like yeah i'm all for scaled costs and more options for timers but come on 500k is nothing.. That's one fleet mission a day between your 5 clan members and its paid for.
I liked the Clan tax suggestion that will make it easier. Just lop a clan decided sum off each battle reward from clan members. GG
