While there are some additions in this patch, I really hoped for a major change that will bring BR in PBs and clan alliances. More than ever, with the fall and rise of the nations, it is badly needed.

Strictly graphical, or has the sail force been properly balanced so that a teak/white wasa can't tack through the wind at 3.8kn while missing its foremast?

On topic to this patch.

I like and don't like this patch.

I appreciate that the patch came sooner than I had anticipated, but I worry that adding the new nations before adding BR limits and clan alliances is not going to go as expected.

I think we sorely need BR limits and clan alliances as soon as you can, i don't want to rush the devs, but there is a sense of urgency to get it going so the players I talk to who have left, would feel inclined to come back and play again.

My major gripe with adding the new nations is the tedious almost herculean task of moving the original clan warehouse inventory,

Why not a simple "Move Clan warehouse and contents" addition to the forged papers?

Nice MAP change! And I am excited to see the new NATIONs flags!

- Can players who change to one of the new NATIONS, change their name?

- TOW TO PORT is great with just 1 per day - good idea!

- thx for added surgeon button and change for HOSTILITY selection in free ports!

- CREW /SURGEON : during BOARDING, only a limited number of crew should be recovered - they cannot fix many crew during a boarding fight.


NOTE: shouldn't the WASA get nerfed quite a bit? That ship is simply TOO good...

I proposed somewhere else in this forum to limit the PB total BR to something linked to port tax revenues. So that the limit would self increase with the number of players.

No we can't change our names. I was kinda hoping for a name change token or something some time in the future.

 

 I actually forgot to screen shot the Prussian flag when I was in a fight early.  I'm heading to bed but I'm sure some one one else will post them.

Interesting patch, but I think I'll echo the sentiments that the game and servers just do not have enough population to support the current amount of nations, let alone 3 more HARD mode ones.  I feel like this patch should of been introduced after some sort of BR adjustments were done and some sort of server population migration.  It's hard to test new nations if you have no one to play in them.

Help us @admin, you're our only hope!  #ServerMerge

  • Battle experience can be received for damage even if you did not kill the target. Prize money will remain on the traditional privateering "No prey No pay"
  • Tow to port added - players will be able to transport one ship per day instantly.
  • Hostility missions can be taken in free ports
  • Reinforcement zone slightly reduced
  • Improved national descriptions on the map
  • Tuned damage caused by ramming (almost removed it due to bugs with unity 5 physics)
  • Added surgeon button during boarding - surgeons could work during boarding and invisible button was unfair to those who did not know that. 
  • Fixed the bug causing incorrect number of resources produced in buildings
  • Fixed bugs with sails on Wasa

Quite good patch for the general good and measure of comfort.

Will be interesting to test the ramming - as usual it is of the best interest of everyone to test and report odd situations.

Battle XP versus Prize money change is one of the most requested changes since "hardcore" patch.

The Tow limit is a good compromise.

And the nations mechanics for the new powers look interesting. It means they can be "defeated out of the map" back to Shroud Cay, correct ? Wonder if it would be possible to have the same for all of the nations, test wise, in the short run :)

Shroud is just where they start if they are new chars.   So really they can be beaten back to what ever Free Towns they want to hold up in (or neutral ports).   

 

Oh found out my first "NEW NATION PROBLEM."  I didn't reset my perks before I switched and I was just thinking I prob don't need Mortar Brig on this guy any more....I CAN'T BUY PERK RESET LOL

I guess I'll have to get some one to buy it for me and trade or something.

Seems the 40% production bonus and the "Town Management" section are now bugged. Can't change settings any more and the production of buildings is now about 40% lower than it was yesterday.

Why? we got a pretty decent map already, don't really see why you would want topographics - Besides I dont think the islands except for the coasts are even rendered, due to performance issues, but I could be wrong

Jpeg 100megs image ---> Jpeg 4k 300 megs image. No performance impact.

It can always be included in the to do list. Just looks more professional. Right now World map lacks details and looks sad. :D

there are some realy nice looking maps in this forum ... Maybe @sveno can help me here. :D
