Patch 12. Caribbean invasion

So I hit a poor Trader Brig just now.  Captured it and got 50 xp along with the ship so that is nice that I got xp for the damage I did.  Prices for the ships tow seems pretty far so far so it's not cheap to just zip your ships all over.

 

Ok problem I keep crashing on my clients.  Though it seems only when in port so far haven't had it happen in battle or OW.  Though open world seem seems real twitchy too.

It actually reduces my gold when it says i won and the amounts aren't correct either... i guess it is bugged for me.

winning does not take the bets you placed  into account
so if you bet 300
and won 100
you won 100

I don't see the new nations on the PvE map, is it only for PvP?

Other news

  • Battle experience can be received for damage even if you did not kill the target. Prize money will remain on the traditional privateering "No prey No pay": FANTASTIC!
  • Tow to port added - players will be able to transport one ship per day instantly. FANTASTIC!
  • Hostility missions can be taken in free ports
  • Reinforcement zone slightly reduced
  • Improved national descriptions on the map FANTASTIC!
  • Tuned damage caused by ramming (almost removed it due to bugs with unity 5 physics)
  • Added surgeon button during boarding - surgeons could work during boarding and invisible button was unfair to those who did not know that.
  • Fixed the bug causing incorrect number of resources produced in buildings
  • Fixed bugs with sails on Wasa

PS: Now if you could remove the timers on the PvE server, that would be an amazing thing.

Fair enough but i just bet 300 and lost and it gave me +1000 gold total. Not sure if it is really working as intended but it is a nice little addition. Thanks for the update and the work you put into it.

There is also a bug where I go to craft and click on resources, for 2 seconds it's highlighted and I can produce, but after 2 seconds selection vanishes and message says select resource to craft. So, I have to click several times in order for it to lock on the resource. It feels like it's slipping or something and does not highlight resource button from the first try :)

Wait a minute. I invested 300 + 100 (win) = 100 (win) = 400 (does not show)? Is this correct? If so, someone was lazy to include total sum?

I agree, long requested feature. Devs could simply add filters. One of them would be turn (show) safe zones on World Map. 

-Hostility zones

-Safe zones

-Event zones

etc.. players must see them and be able to turn on/ off if needed.

Agreed. I did not succeeded in gathering 25 first rates for a French PB on last Saturday in Pampatar.

I proposed somewhere else in this forum to limit the PB total BR to something linked to port tax revenues. So that the limit would self increase with the number of players.

Besides the realism its also a bad gamemechanic. Before that it was like: "Okay, I need to kill X crew so that I can win boarding." Thats not possible anymore when enemy has surgeon ready or if you dont know if he used it already.

stop whinning, this mechanic is fine.

No international clan diplomacy? I don’t see these new nations being used by anyone , except for privateers, without it...

Shouldnt it be "Korvettenkapitän" instead of XorAmXB.jpg for Prussia?

 

Cant tell for the other ranks.
