JochenHeiden Posted October 2, 2017 Share Posted October 2, 2017 (edited) Granted, I just bought this game two weeks ago and I am playing on "colonel" difficulty, but this seems pretty ridiculous. LAVA Posted October 2, 2017 Share Posted October 2, 2017 Even on Brigadier General (normal) the stand alone battles seem easier to fight than in the campaign. Try a couple of the battles on Major General (hard). If you get a good fight I would suggest you restart your campaign on Brigadier General. And if you are still whooping the AI... well... that is what Major General is all about. P.S. Apparently though the majority (or vocal minority) was pleased with this balance and we have kept it. Major General and Legendary difficulties should be more than sufficient for players needing enough challenge. PS. In your image the AI is "forced" to attack in a battle scenario, having almost half the forces of yours. Some players like to steamroll the AI in this exact fashion, so we offered this to them. JochenHeiden Posted October 2, 2017 Author Share Posted October 2, 2017 I just blew out the CSA at Chancellorsville too. I routed, captured or killed 100% of the enemy forces. Yes it was, we had to respect people who just wanted to enjoy the game and have fun with it. Surely it is not impossible to crush the AI using normal tactics allowed by the game, but I know that UGCW is one of the most cheated games out there so we should not depend only from feedback asking for an even more difficult game. Losing 10k vs 30k on MG or legendary would be a pyrrhic victory, you just cant replace those losses as easy as on Colonel.
