If you would know how to read statistics you would see that HRE has positive income and today is on 3rd place of top owning clans as well as our sister clan HREKK on 6th place. Furthermore rediii is just an port battle commander (a very good one btw) and is not involved in clan economy. I'd figure you know that because it hasnt changed since you left HRE several months ago.

Same goes for EXILE, HachiRokus clan. It owns 1 port for VMs i guess and you have yet to explain how that one port loses 13 million each day. It shouldnt be possible by game design so if you discovered a bug pls report it (you can do it via F11 ingame btw, very helpful when actually trying to make the game better).

Again - as I've stated before... You can make between 2 and 3 millions for 25 mins of sailing.. Hardly something to make a fuss about..

Hey @qw569,

i took a look at the spreadsheet today to monitor my clans balance but noticed that the numbers are way off. Some ports make more than a million negative income which shouldnt even be possible (eg Marigot). Maybe todays hotfix hello kittyed something up.

corrected.

It's funny. @Ink said in this topic that

We will review this question after game release but we cannot provide any guarantees at the moment.

But Devs decided to add port timer cost to API data :D

Christiansted area - buy spanish goods in all the former spanish ports - sail to CS - sell.. you make between 2x-3x in profits.. Ez gold and since the reinforcementzone covers almost all the ports it's with very low risk. Same is the case for Sweden, the Dutch, The pirates - and with a bitΒ longer sail the french and the brits.. Only nation that has to sail for an extended time in OW without magical protection is the US and the Spanish.. If you don't want to sail to capitals and the sharks in those waters, there's 25 or so ports that consumes national goods same way as the capitals.. EZ gold..

It's the same for practically all the capital areas.. You can basically print your own gold..

don't forget about tax rate which will eat your income.

So your revenue=sell_price*(1-tax/100)-buy_price*(1+tax/100)

For example.

You buy a cheapest one Parisian Furniture in Saint-François and sell it in Gustavia for the most high price.

so your revenue= 615820*(1-10/100)-165309*(1+10/100)=554238-181840=372398

loss due to tax=615820*(10/100)+165309*(10/100)=61582+16530=78112

Except - first off - time spent. The sail from Saint-Francois to Gustavia is too long and too risky. Secondly u don't take the item that nets the largest pr item income, u take the item that nets the largest income pr weight unit. True that tax cuts into ur profits but four indiamans still carry a larger surplus than you can ever get in the same timeframe from either PvP or PvE.. And the profit is larger if your clan owns either the departure point and/or the destination point..

Do you really wanna continue to explain us how to make profit on trade? Then learn first about the difference between turnaround and profit. After that you should not only talk about margin per ton but also calculate it for Parisian Furniture. You would reach the result then that Parisian Furniture is the most profitable trade good per ton as well. That's why qw569 took it as example. Finally you should learn that there are only very few ports besides the capitals where you can sell Parisian Furniture with good profit. Santo Domingo and Cartagena are two of them. Making twice the tax profit is no real option for a clan.

The trade run between Saint Francois and Gustavia is one of the safest on the map. You only have to sail east and pass La Desirade. Out of sight of the islands you sail north and turn west on the height of Gustavia. That's ten minutes sail in danger zones. On the rest of the oneΒ hour sail you won't see anybody. Where did you find a trade route with more profit in less time? The only problem will be that competition is probably enormous and will eliminate most of the profit.

Qw569's example was very well choosen. Since he has an idea of what he's talking about. Next time give him a like and don't try to correct him without having a clue. ;)Β

Β

As I said - Gustavia - Saint-Francois.. Bigger risk, longer sail, lower profit pr time spent. Take a closer tradegood when you go swede Graf.

All - knowing @Graf Bernadotte is a Master Trader now, nice :)

There are trade runs which give you much more gold per ton and per minute (which is the actual value you're interested in, as tons don't matter) than Parisian Furniture. Why would I share them with you or this forum though? Use your brains, maybe you'll find them. If not, it's OK, not everyone can figure it out.Β  You're a great diplomat, you can always get back to this profession.Β

Just don't insult others because of your ignorance.Β

Guess you would tell us about this wonderful trade good which gives you more profit per ton and sailing hour than Parisian Furniture, only if it would exist. You can buy Textile Machinery at Codrington. HalfΒ profit per ton and half of sailing time to Gustavia but same risk. Malabar Teak at Basseterre-Town or Historical Artifacts at St. John have a much lower margin per ton and can't compete.Β  Why should I explain my trade route to you? - the question is: what is the fastest and easiest way to make gold? - answer: trade. 10% tax rate at both points of the trip doesn't change this and IF your clan owns one point then it's only 10% in all.

Prices for Textile Machinery in Codrington is at 122.000 and for Parisian Furniture at 250.000 at SaintΒ Francois. That shows clearly Swedish traders don't need your noobish advices and compete already about the rare opportunity to make some good and fast money.Β I wasn't giving advice to swedes per se but in general.

The risk for each trade run to Gustavia or any other capital is to enter the safe zone. You cannot lower this risk. There are always hunters nearby. At prime time more than in the early morning.Β Wrong.

I wonder why you wanna turn each thread in this forum into an exposition of your ignorance. So far I thought you need to fight me under all costs for your reputation. But why to counter qw569 as well? Could it be that you really think you're smarter than everybody else in this matter because you own an Indiaman?Β The principle doesn't only go for the indiaman. The principle is general - time wasted trading vs profit is all that matters. And atm the indiaman simply carries more cargo than any other good.

Return on topic. Explain us how you wanna finance PB timers with trade runs with proper arguments and reasonable examplesΒ or keep the bullshit you're talking. You're only confusing beginners. They will be disappointed when they find out that your advices lead them into bancrupty and quit the game therefore.Β

Graf - You're an idiot. Normally I just ignore you since the saying goes true - "Never argue with an idiot since he'll drag you down to his level and beat you on experience". I don't care wether ppl heed my advice or not - I make millions whenever I want/need it. Easy gold.

The next mate who wanna explain us that he makes billions in this game with easeΒ (...) who can't explain why his nation get's night-flipped today, because they cannot afford PB timers for their ports.

(...) Not to be missunderstood. There is enough money in this game. If players would donate enough of their income PB timers could be paid easily. But players prefer to spend millions for copper plating, Cartagena Caulking Refit, PvP marks and other stuff offered for their personnel benefit instead of supporting their nations in port defence.

I guess you have the answer for your question already, and you only write to get more attention :)

We don't care about ports. Maybe Russia does. We don't need timers, as we can get back ports that we loose, or do without them. We just care about the battle itself. Why throw away the money?...

Btw, your info about turnaround is a bullshit. You can have a good turnaround eg. by selling fine fabrics, or even buying and selling goods for the same price, however you won't earn much. You need to optimize how much you earn in time.

Β

To translate into something you would understand - it's not important how many people you convince to hate you and your nation, it's important how many people will hate you and your nation in a given fraction of time. By pissing off enough people in short enough time, you create a perfect shitstorm to destroy your nation. It's the same with trade, however there it works in a positive way - the more you earn in a shorter amount of time, the better.

Don't care if you call it bullshit or not, as long as you agree.

I don't agree with your statement that "The more turnaround the more profit you can make", and I think it's you who doesn't understand the time factor. It's ok though, not everyone has to be good at trade.

Mate, you don't explain us how to trade, you tell us the story about winning the jackpot in the lottery and tell us after, that it is not luck but skill.

Maybe you should work on your vocabulary for insults as well. There is more than idiotΒ you can use. What's about fool, sucker, jackass or schmock? :PΒ

Idiot seems to be the best applicable in terms of semantic meaning. Fool, sucker, jackass is all slang that can be used with different connotations.

Your limited vocabulary shows your simple reasoning. Since you refuse any advice your thinking and language will never make it out of underclass. :DΒ Probably no problem for you. Since you feel quit well being a Swedish doormat. Encouraging you to get out of that hole seems to be unsuccessful.

You say it like it's a bad thing.

The limitating factor of this business isΒ the shortage of goods one can buy.

Yes, I can see how this can be a problem for an inexperienced trader. For those who know the market, turnaround doesn't mean a lot.

Trade can give the best profit per minute in this game, just as it should be. It just takes some effort to find trade routes. Inexperienced traders are better off spending their time finding profitΒ elsewhere.Β
