Port battles having the wrong time.

wait...hang on...it still doesn't work....as most PB's will be against neutral....we will still always be in a Q !!

 

Super simple rule man, don't have limit on neutral port attacks.

However the queue is full (it always will be) so we sit at 100% unscheduled. Then at 4AM our time some Euro based brits do a PB and win Huzzah. They conclude their PB at 4.46am. So our PB is now set TWENTY TWO HOURS after this TIME...and not the time we flipped it at !!

Thus we can NEVER set a PB at a TZ of out choosing.

You  mention you are changing the port battle limits, is there a ling for that somewhere ?

 

So @admin do you understand the problem...we cannot set a PB at a time of our choosing...do you understand the problem ???????????????

The new port limit won't make any difference as we will still be stuck in queues against NUETRAL.

Two things to fix this :

1) When you queue a port for a PB, when it goes from 100% to SCHEDULED then REMEMBER THE TIME IT HIT 100% for assigning PB time. EASY.

2) Why have a limit of anything against neutral !?!?

I think i do
You cannot setup port battles because you are playing later in the day and by the time port battle slots get opened you get weird time for port battles. Correct?

Yes it doesn;t matter what time you play at it matters that there are 3 in the queue. You set it to 100%...it gets no time.

When the next one of the queue gets played, it assigns the time for your 100%'er based on when that PB ended...which of course for all intents and purpose is 'random'.

Now on Euro this doesn't matter to much coz you have the 4 hour play slot but on global it means OUR OWN PB's are being scheduled at 4am !!

Now this happened when we did the server split 6 months ago, but it was fixed so that when your 100% port got scheduled it REMEMBERED the time it was flipped at in order to set the PB time ?

Please let me know if I need to explain this more...because its really important...as in the game is simply unplayable, despite the fact its closer to the best hostility system to date !

The fix isn't that hard. After 22 hours of 100% hostility you should be able to pull the flag and hostility 100% is gained through 1 flag battle (/ port raid / whatever you call it).

Thanks Skully, thats from mid 2016, lets see if Admin can just fix it, so it remembers what time you set the @!#!@#!@# port battle at before we muddy the waters with flags n stuff eh !! Ya know one step at a time !

A hostility mission is no different than pulling a flag.

To dictate the exact time of PB there is only the flag mechanic.

I believe the Admin understands the problem.

I think though that there is not a quick solution to the problem though.

The way around it would be to not run up hostility to 100% until you see that there is an open "slot" for a port battle. Currently as you said, what is happening is
1. that there are already 3 port battles
2. you run a port to 100% hostility
3. 1 of the port battles happens and a slot opens up
4. the slot is open and the 100% hostility port pops a port battles

Unfortunately it pops it at the time the port battle finishes instead of popping at the time you ran it up to 100%.

so again, best thing to do is not run the port to 100% hostility until you know you have an open slot for a port battle in your prime time.

Given the admin explicitly said they didn't understand the problem...why do you think they do ?

As for waiting......Thats NEVER then !!

Its an EASY FIX.

Remember the time (computers are great at stuff like that) that you hit 100%, then when 100% becomes a schedule, use THAT TIME for the 22 hours maths.

clan 4 hostility at 100% ( at 1700) but has to wait until 22 hours after the first port battle has closed, joins the queue then... uses the time when clan 1 has finished , example 1700 port battle

 

that look about right from the outside looking in ? clans can not time their own port battles to suit their playtime

So a bit of an update, this all seems fixed now (on Global at least), we have been able to have lots of battles in the queue (six at most I think) and thus no more time problems.

So...errr....thanks and woohoo !

i agree we made 2hours later a second port battle and it ended up with 2 pb at the same time 

also the grey bar in the middle of your screen for 10 minutes when being in battle is very annoying  (why are they not place at the top of the screen

so they wont interfere your own game that would be nice
