The issues this would present by increasing the load on the server would make it not worth it though. Imagine for 100 players having to render up to 300 models, now what happens when the population gets up to 1000 or 2000? How about the increased strain it would place on the players individual video demands and fps? While yes it would be nice, you have to consider the price to pay for it.
