And still you lost your mortar brigs.

We needed to drop some points so we could get more of their big ships. We were discussing about surrendering the Reno to give us time to kill the last L'Ocean when the battle was already over.

jk. The wind was straight in our face, straight out of the bay, so it was easy for the brits to hunt the mortar brigs going with the wind (they actually used a L'Ocean to hunt the Mortar Brigs...). They did their job and killed both towers and a bunch of masts before they succumbed to the sea. The points lost on the Mortars allowed us a couple more kills.

Portbattle Sweden vs Pirates @ Nassau

Commanders:
Sweden: Havelock
Pirates: Nautnikkup ("there was no proper lead... kinda messy this battle :/")

Result: Swedish Victory

fZQpysB.png

Swedes attacked from upwind from the west. Pirates got circle A (center) early, C (east) a bit later and also managed to take B (north) from the Swedes. Mortar destroyed the first tower, and was shooting the second tower while Swedes engaged close to it at circle A. While Pirates gained points quickly through 3 circles, Swedes managed to hold points down by sinking multiple ships but losing their Mortar Brig in the process. At roughly 800 points swedish ships were ordered to split up: Some went for the remaining Pirates, who tried to win by points. Others were orderer to sail to circles B and A to cap them and try to sink the ships guarding them. This proved to be succesful as points stopped ticking for the Pirates at 937. At the same time swedish points were now catching up, even faster when shortly after also C was captured. In a last try to win, Pirates sank or boarded some swedish ships, but lost some themselves. PB ended at about 1000-900.

Video will follow.

What a pity that last night the Polish commonwealth did not give us a fight. I do not know what this is connected with, but today we will come to the port battle. We will come for an honest fight and it does not matter who wins this battle and who will own Barahua after this port battle. And I hope to see the Polish fleet in all its splendor, which will answer our challenge. After all, we all play to have fun, And there's nothing better than a good fight in a good company of friends, against the same cohesive companions who respect and love the fight. And pixel ships, we'll build anew with you.
