Possible fix to cutting up battles for performance.

I know there are people complaining about that battles like fredericksburg being smaller in scale ( due to the battle being cut up in parts), as where battles like Antietam give you full control of all the forces in the battle by the end.

My suggestion would be to make it so skirmish mode allows you to use historical maps and forces, rather then having phases let us control THE WHOLE army at one time. Maybe even allow us to set objectives or even have a annihilation type option were both armies fight to the last man.

Why do this?

- You will make the people that want massive battles happy, would also add replayability.

- will let you keep historical and campaign battles focused ( ie you can cut battles up)

- Lets you deal with performance issues, if you can cut up the battles like fredericksburg then those with potato computers will still be able to enjoy historical battles and campaign.
