My understanding is that one can attack national NPC fleets to increase hostility to start a port battle. Are contraband traders going to be counted as pirate for this purpose? There are. They are extremely rare but there are some schooner brigs Pirate NPC fleets. The free town status will switch from a port to another. All the player assets (outpost, ships, warehouse) of the ex -free town will be transferred to the new free town. Also, all the player assets of the ex- normal port will be transferred to the new standard port. Out of curiosity what was the reasoning behind removing free towns from that area? But with the rookie capitals every nation will presumably have something like a freetown in the area each. PvP2 going to be interesting seeing every one grab land since they are one of the smallest nations. This was decided because we don't need neutral cities as it will require players to pve a lot during first weeks of conquest. What to expect. Because of the resource changes all buildings will be destroyed by a massive earthquake and their costs will be recovered to players by national insurance companies. Outposts will stay intact all assets in warehouses or ships in docks will be untouched. But if your outpost is currently located in your national town or in a neutral town this might change. Regions will change ownership and neutral towns will disappear. Players who want to have access to assets after the patch should move them out to their national region. Alternatively players can just capture that region after the reset. PVE server players will have to move them out or use smugglers. Every one could play on the same server, same stuff and some PVE players could switch to PVP side for test it (if they want) and mid lvl players going pacific for soft leveling? Yah they don't have PB's as is so they won't have them after the patch. There is a reason we tell folks to go look at the PvE map when you want to see what the game map looked at when every one started pretty much. A little imagination with how port battles could work will pay big dividends in the PvE side of the game. How would they do that when they can't fight each other? Like your Icon. Like a big protected area Why should PVE players be pushed over into the Pacific side of Panama, where we wont get the benefit of sailing in ALL the beautiful scenery that this game provides. We want to enjoy the whole map, just like everyone else, who chooses to play multiplayer on the PVP severs. PVE is meant for those who wish to play solo against the AI and not just as a learning aspect of the game. PVP and PVE servers need be kept separate as it is now. PVE has quite a big following and not everyone wants to get involved with PVP. If PVE is taken away, many players including myself will just call it a day.
