  1. Ultimate General: Civil War is great and is getting better. I hope the next installment is a very similar game but takes place in Europe? The time frame of the 1860's up to the early 1870's provide a lot of interesting events much like the American Civil War. Instead of looking at just one war, the devs can look at multiple conflicts that happened in Europe that ultimately lead to the Unification of some countries. Those countries are: Italy and Germany. For example, the devs choose the wars for the Unification of Germany. The player can start with a "tutorial" battle which occured some time during the First Schleswig War (around 1850) between the Prussia and Denmark, then proceed to start the campaign proper with the Second Schleswig War. This eventually leads the player to the Austro-Prussian War in 1866. Finally, for the end game we have the ultimate showdown: the Franco-Prussian War wherein the final victory would mean the Unification of Germany and the Proclamation of the German Empire. For the gameplay, I think it should be very similar with Ultimate General: Civil War with improved AI and mechanics such as fortifications and enemy scaling. The dynamic campaign that we have right now is very good. The approach of giving the player small battles leading up to the Grand Battles are well done. Maybe the devs can add a command for the troops to hit the ground which adds a cover bonus. By the time wars for Unification started, Prussia has already adopted the Dreyse needle gun which is far superior than muzzle-loading rifled muskets in terms of rate of fire. However, their early opponents fielded small arms much like those in the American Civil War. One of the challenges that the player will face is to go from fighting these slow muzzle-loading rifled muskets to fighting the superior Chassepot rifles of the French. The Dreyse needle gun was the only adopted service rifle during this time frame, progression of the army can be through prestige points earned in battle. These can be used to improve the overall quality of the Prussian army. Maybe the devs can create a "Focus Tree" or "Technology Tree" much like in Hearts of Iron 4 or Empire Total War where the player can choose how to improve.
