  1. For Chat, if you want to enter team chat hit enter (or return), then hit tab. The chat window should then say TEAM. When not in Chat, use the Tab key to see who is in the current game and which side they're on.

    Sailing Movies

Treasure Island, around the mid to late 90s. Charlton Heston was Long John, and a very young Christian Bale was Jim Hawkins. The Eddie Izzard version is also good, as has been pointed out.
  3. Yesterday in the second Trafalgar match, I was one of two ships left in my fleet (What do you expect? We were the French). I had full health and was planning to take at least a few down with me, when my controls locked up, and the game quit responding. I had to force quit. I tried to rejoin, but as soon as I got back in, everything locked up again. Finally I just quit, and restarted my computer. After that I could get back in the main lobby, and join other games. I didn't know about the crashsender, but next time I'll use it.
  4. Good to know, and I'm okay with that. Luckily I got my repairs done, and won that fight.
  5. Don't know if this has happened previously, but I was just in a battle where I ducked behind a tall island to make repairs. I was to windward, the enemy was to leeward of the island. The enemy was able to continue firing on me right through the island. He didn't have line of sight, and the island should have totally blocked him from firing. That was odd. Another odd one was a few days ago, I skirted around a sand bar with the enemy in pursuit, but when the enemy got to it he sailed right through it. Why didn't he run aground? So other than eye-candy, I'm wondering why even put islands on the map.
  6. MacBook Pro Retina 2013 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB I use Boot Camp to boot into a Windows 8.1 partition. I have tried using Parallels, but as a virtual machine it doesn't give full access to the graphics card. Boot Camp does. So far, it seems to work just fine.
  7. I want to cast my vote for single player mode as well. Generally I have shied away from all multiplayer modes, as by the time you get to the game, there are people who are just too skilled, and it gets discouraging getting killed every time. I understand that in order to get good, you need to be challenged, but the internet being as vast as it is, open multiplayer to people who have more time on their hands to get skilled. So, please give us a single player mode so we can play at our own level.
