  1. Hi Bowzer74, Look to joining the UGG groups that are available here's were you'll be able to find the opportunity to learn & hopefully have fun. WAR group or UGG community group, TRY group.
  2. Can the Devs please address this bug/problem were troops can be directed to maneuver off-board then reappear behind opponents front line. http://steamcommunit...s/?id=564949348 This is nothing more than deliberate cheating!

  4. Well done! Now the raw recruits have fighting chance to play out the battle rather than quit after the first 5 mins. This should encourage rookies to progress in game/battle and swell the games ranks with new generals that have been given a wee boost/leg-up. Nothing worse than to witness a real massacre of potentially new grunts/generals that need to be cut some slack so game can fill the ranks we need to nurture not discourage.
  5. Who would have figured that by playing in close Beta testing this Off Board maneuver was sanctioned by the Devs and not made for public consumption, why...why ...why were we the playing members not advised of this new 'solution'. Just cause the rules don't state a certain clause does not mean it's right and proper to exploit said maneuver, try and justify/slice it any way you like REB it's still cheating in my book.
  6. I back up Koro's statement by eating his boots if he don't decimate your Zombie Reb charge. Collectors Showcase. My number one suggestion would be to have Rebs that lose half strength become a spun out run off unit. Not zombie killers that rise from the grave time and time again. Its probably that simple.
  7. REB the way i see this Flank thing is simple when battling on map you should able to see enemy units/flags if unit exits from map then they stay off! Don't know how they can go off map but not fair game-wise as this smacks of sliding a hidden ace card down sleeve! PPL look and see what's set up arrayed before 'em and play the game accordingly. Total agreement regards David Fair strategic movement of units but not in this game as we know it!!! I have long suspected other ppl/opponents have done this tactic on me not nice feeling know ur opponent has to resort to extra curricular activities. Understand ur frustration regarding 'camping'.
  8. Cannon to right of them, Cannon to left of them, Cannon in front of them Volley'd and thunder'd; Storm'd at with shot and shell, Boldly they marched and well, Into the jaws of Death, Into the mouth of Hell Marched the Pettigrew brigade.
  9. Brilliant reads like a dime novel of the period all very intense. Would love to hear from the boys in the front line comment now and then related to the General's comments as action unfolds just so we don't forget the blood sweat and tears the troopers shed to 'hang onto that dang hill' Now where can i buy the next instalment
  10. Awesome reading!! Couldn't wait to read the next line! Zwerty99 i think u've missed ur link with the Reb side i wanna hear what Stuart's boys had to say during this engagement. Would it have been summit like this "what youse all runnin from!"
  11. Cheers for the support and backup REB
  12. War is Hell!....are you lookin for some then go to the WAR group (Steam page) and enlist or are you Buttermilk rangers! Or add me Steam name same..No Pasaran
  13. Do you know wot i think i may have tried that very method if given half a chance!, can you imagine this scene i was in the R.A. back in the 70's we used the old bofors 40mm AA gun, two guns firing at a Russian mig jet (eh thats wot they trained us for... shootin down migs not in the hope of actually hitting one directly but by the shrapnel airbursts which we put up, as many as one shell every 2 seconds and only limited by the loaders feeding in ammo) chain shot now we could have brought down a whole squadron in one go!! Hehe. But on a more serious note this is how the Brits dealt with whining native sodjers Blowing from a gun is a method of execution in which the victim is typically tied to the mouth of a cannon and the cannon is fired. George Carter Stent describes the process as follows:[1] The prisoner is generally tied to a gun with the upper part of the small of his back resting against the muzzle. When the gun is fired, his head is seen to go straight up into the air some forty or fifty feet; the arms fly off right and left, high up in the air, and fall at, perhaps, a hundred yards distance; the legs drop to the ground beneath the muzzle of the gun; and the body is literally blown away altogether, not a vestige being seen. Should have used this back in 1776 with the colonials Rab
  14. Thanks for your invite to sign on the muster roll and join ranks with like minded enthusiast. Hehe not long spoke to Auld Brogan and he suggested much the same thing even offered some of his duds....not to sure if the trousers (Pants) would hang on properly need a good belt to much grits. Looking forward to commencing hostilities, better double shot your cannons fur close action
  15. Steam name is the same No Pasaran, find me on Western Army Rebels group {WAR}
  16. Hi Remise thanks for the Dan tucker foot tapper i sang this when a kid...long memory . Took note of your concern regarding Campbell surname it's not all bad m8...Jacobite uprisings of the 18th century During the Jacobite uprisings in the 1700s, Clan Campbell backed the British-Hanoverian Government, and a number of men from the clan fought on the side of British government forces at the Battle of Sheriffmuir in 1715 - however, there were Campbells on the side of the Jacobites, believed to have been led by the son of Campbell of Glenlyon, whose father had commanded the Glencoe Massacre against the MacDonalds 22 years earlier. The two families settled their differences, fighting side by side in the Sheriffmuir. Hatfields and McCoys come to mind.
  17. Memorial Day commemoration. Surely the country's observance is not only restricted to the soldiers that fought in blue?
  18. Hi Remise tried the link but won't come up but i know the band referred to, 2nd South Carolina string band they're awesome! incidentally one of their members a banjo player is on Steam, name Auld Brogan sure you would be interested to know an battle with as long as you scrap with me first? Wots the call for runaway?? P.S. Just for fun here is some music from a band that would have provided it probably for free, as I know them (with the battle of Gettysburg as their background) Maybe in the sequel....:http://civilwarband.com/dvd/
  19. Totally awesome use of the bugle! I think your suggestions regarding at least the basic calls, Forward, retreat , charge etc would be easily coded into the game, this would enhance the authenticity and period flavour. I just love the battlefield sounds that occurred in real time over certain parts of the conflict. Outwith the coding of how units act in this game the need for true Bugle calls would add real weight behind this great game. I hope you have recovered from all that bugle blowing Remise you made me feel lightheaded just watching you!
  20. So where do you boys park ur boats overnite?
  21. Just a wee add on here i have experienced some unscrupulous opponents were they take advantage of incarcerating your General! Yes i do mean taking General prisoner! By using his skirmishers and vedettes he sweeped the General into Map corner and pinned him there oh joy! A great lesson in watching over the most important unit on the map!! Also i've seen opponents using General as a Recon unit by moving it around the map to extract intel. All very gamey stuff and i can't understand how some ppl think this is perfectly legal? I know we all try to gain edge to get that Victory but this only corrupts the game. i would be interested to hear what the Devs think about this kinda stuff.
