  1. In a post of mine on suggestion section i was referring to that exactly. Do not remove 55 port bonus just increase the ports with it so every nation can have one or the ability to have one. As for Lars and Staunberg you have my compliments sirs not only for bringing this issue up but for doing so after a PB against Swedes. Very nice approach and an example of a healthy community in general.
  2. If a well made trading system make people want to try this game or works as alternative to the one who already playing, doesn't this helps war game as well? If trade system adds to game's population doesn't this provide for more possible targets ? And if a well made rewarding trading system makes people risk on coming to enemy ports doesn't this provide for more pvp or gang targets?
  3. So I would like to share an idea I have when it comes to trading system in Naval Action. As far as I know trading is little to non-existent in this game and that mainly in my opinion because of so much time someone has to spend on sailing with relatively small profit in reals. Especially when there are missions like cargo or passenger which may provide you with a good number of reals, I don’t see any point for someone to spend hours sailing around for so little gains. That’s why I come up with an idea of a trading system which will contain trading levels like the crafting levels we have. Levels which as long as you progress different kind of rewards or better say abilities will be unlocked. In order to lvl yourself on trading you will have to transport goods from one port to another (cargo missions or passenger missions will not count). The amount of xp someone will be able to gain will be a combination of the profit he makes and the distance he covered during transportation. I would also suggest the gain of trading medals which can be obtained the same way someone can gain trade xp. Now when it comes to rewards there can be upgrades more fitted to trade ships, like additional cargo let’s say or additional profit upon selling a product or maybe additional OW speed and so on. Those upgrades can be bought from admiralty after reaching a certain lvl and can be obtained with trade medals. Also, on maybe future trade ships (please bring Couronne on Naval Action) can be obtainable with trade medals like dlc ships can be obtained now with combat metals. Last, I would suggest a system of nation influence or whatever someone may call it. For example, if someone is doing trade by providing goods to let’s say US ports then he gains positive influence with US nation. Upon a certain lvl of influence and trade lvl this will allow the trader to even place contracts on US nation ports for buying goods which now is not allowed or buying goods for trade on cheaper price etc. Of course, if this player kills a US AI ship the influence will drop and he will have to proceed with more trade routes in order to gain it back along with the benefits comes with it. I would appreciate your thoughts and I hope even with my poor English it is clear enough of what I am thinking.
  4. Hammy's idea is good and changes need/should be made when it comes to RVR. But i'm afraid that even that wouldn't be enough for low popularity nations to actively participate in rvr and that because despite how much the BR of a port is you still need a screen fleet , you still need allies with who you have to corporate in order to achieve smt (i repeat i'm referring to small population nation ). That's why i would suggest the implementation of a some kind of alliance system. I know that something like that was done before without really working but i was thinking smt like smaller nation according to the ports they own to be able to make an alliance with just one nation and of course on the other hand top 3 port owners not having that ability. I know people might say that you may achieve that by just come to a mutual understanding without having such system but we all know that some pvp among possible allies on open world can create misunderstandings which can escalate not to mention the fact that ppl who organize the rvr do not want to spend time doing the referee or judge .
  5. I dont take for granted anything. But even if you lose the port being relatively close to your nations ports will be easier for you to take it back or try for it. As for ppl who do want a challenge, providing the means to fight for a less populated nation is a challenge itself already, Challenge is one thing fighting with a ship who lucks on port bonuses against a ship crafted on 55 port is another. Oh and according to players distribution among nations it seems that the majority prefer the easy mode or effortless one.
  6. Yes maybe i dont explain it the way i would like to so let me bring an example. 55 ports are ports that ppl uses to craft their ships and most of their eco just because of port bonuses. So if someone lets say is playing for French nation or want to switch to it. How far would have to go to flip a 55 point port? And even if they do and take it. Would have been easy for them to defend it being so far away from their lets say national waters? 55 point ports are vital no question there. But if a clan wants to switch to French nation (example) why do so, when it is gonna take them too much effort ? Why dont simple stay where they are on a populated nation with a 55 port assumingly already taken ? I hope this time i made my point clear.
  7. Waiting for server to come up again after maintenance i was thinking how nation population could become more balanced, more equally spread among the nations. Then i put my self in a position of someone who is playing in a populated nation and want to choose to a more challenging experience by trying out a not very populated nation. I checked the map and realized that 55 port point ports are simply not enough. If someone for example wants to change from Russia to Spain lets say not many options are available in order to build up an economy since no 55 port is available close enough to capital . So my suggestion is this. Bring more 55 port points ports close or fairly close to capitals. This would probably make people switching nation less of a punishment and challenging.
  8. A Pirate captain who doesnt have some nice plunder for a certain period of time may cause drop the crew morale or even mutiny against him. But i always choose gameplay instead of realism so if morale element is not going to implemented properly then we better not have it all.
