Yes, my mistake. The post was about San Mateo, not Augustin. So.... A personal attack. Not surprising. Should I start another tribunal post? Perhaps you were not paying attention. First, the fact that you understand the obvious and plain evidence against you is apparent in your own reply. And, secondly, this is not outside the tribunal. I've done nothing to ruin the reputation of any "good" captain. Telling me to get over it doesn't really help much at all. I still don't like it. ☹️

All members of WO and VCO should be banned for cheating! Continuing to use the ports of Saint Marys and San Augustin Mateo is cheating. That is self-evident. Admin's attempt to change the definition of cheating is lame and completely inappropriate. I would ask if he wants his game to be the poster-child of the coming regulation attempts on the game industry. Pay to win is bad but condoning cheating and favoring cheaters is a whole order of magnitude worse.

@admin, I'm sorry that we do not see this the same way or perhaps I misunderstand. It sounds like the idea is to take the risk and reward out of crafting altogether as some sort of compromise for the dlc ships. First "insurance", now this. I think this makes crafting even less relevant to the game. I think, as a sandbox game, we need economic incentive. We need ship crafting.

@adminIt is impossible for us to get your numbers. You only cherry pick to support your argument and don't show us enough to see the reality. It would be better if you didn't show us numbers at all. You ignore half of the pay-to-win argument by just saying they are weaker than crafted ships. They also severely reduce the demand for crafted ships because they are so much easier to get. The worst thing is that there is no fun in sinking a p2w ship they way they are currently implemented. -

I think this is an interesting suggestion. I like MacDuff's a bit better, however. I would add a few caveats. One, that someone just out of sight at the time and travelling towards gets a chance. Two, that anyone in the spotter's group at the time of the spot be allowed. And third, that a join timer still be in force, just a much longer one like 10 minutes. -

I enjoy the challenge of it. If I can't find my way I should get lost. I can find my way actually, it's not that difficult as long as I'm paying attention. And, I like that it effectively gives me an extra perk compared to someone who just has to use it for the sextant.- 24 replies
