  1. I dont have an outpost here, how can I reduce hold? I dont have a free outpost and outpost that I can close now.
  2. hi, I cannot sail. I'm on a port where I do not have an outpost. I'm in a fleet with trader brig. When I leave port it shows me the speed on 99kts and then 0. I put all sails up and nothing happens. I cant sail, cant leave port, cant disband fleet in port.
  3. You didn't get it. No most players want PVP and PVE on the same server. I don't want to have 2 characters on 2 servers and lvl twice. Did you even realize that due that way of thinking population drops to 200-300 players? Right world in BALANCE, like WoW, EVE or many more successful games. Balance, make a game more realistic, run economy and attract players. Balance on ONE server.
  4. well, @admin closed my topics with some suggestion unless I will make a TAG's. He may forget that I cannot edit closed topic .. Anyway there is some of my proposal: https://bccnavalaction.wordpress.com/2018/05/07/the-naval-action-dying-game/ It also include changes in a piracy as piracy cannot be counted as nation.
  5. ".. That was is missing in this game and by devs: it is not a solution to split game into 2 server called pvp and pve. The solution is to make a SANBOX where pvp and pve coexist together on one server (look EVE online)..." Because I would like to play game both pvp and pve style like most players. I dont want ot be trapped on one style only. Look at Mrgoldstein post
  6. they don't need to be, but: If the mission is pulled from safe zone port it shall be in a safe zone. Just reduce rewards. if the mission is pulled in non safe zone port mission could be in non safe area. increase reward for a risk to be ganked. Let players then decide if they do mission for rewards or they level up character or whatever reason they have. As straight answer to your question: do you want to have more players playing the game like before? Stop using the same argument all of the time "PVP". That was is missing in this game and by devs: it is not a solution to split game into 2 server called pvp and pve. The solution is to make a SANBOX where pvp and pve coexist together on one server (look EVE online)..
  7. True, but it also means that game will end in a corner with ~400 players only and never grow up again into thousands. Look at statistics, they don't lie just describing truth.
  8. did you consider that not every player is interesting to make 24/7 pvp? Maybe they would like to enjoy sailing and have a fun with pve stuff from time ti time? did you think a bit why game population is dropping? Maybe a behavior of hard pvp push them away from the game?
  9. HI, This game suffering leaking players, decreasing population. that's the truth that cannot be denied. It seems to be that game need major changes if we want to change this situation. Clearly, the way developers grow the game it is not what most players want. I'm not talking about 30-40 hardcore players, I'm talking 3000-4000 players that drop this game. PVP players complaining about lack of targets. In comparison to the sea: sharks eat almost all fishes. Instead of letting fishes population grow again their demand's to reduce safe zones in order to eat last fishes ... The game stuck in a dead corner. Why do not reconsider game's mechanic? Let see another hardcore PvP game like EVE and maybe learn something from that game. EVE has a population over 100k players. This is possible due to fact that even this hardcore PVP game consists of safe zones where PVP is not allowed (besides piracy but not discuss it in details now). What if the Naval Action map would consist of EVE map: - 25% of high safe zones: an area where PvP isn't allowed. Port cannot be captured and belongs to defined nations. Ports are open for every nation's allow trading, etc. building mines and farms shall be possible only on own nation port, however, goods shall be common and not very profitable. -25% of low safe zones: area with predefined nation port that cannot be captured. Every port had a little safe zone (like a fort range) where ships can get reinforcement. PVP is possible outside ports and at open sea. Ports are open for every nation's allow trading, etc. building mines and farms shall be possible only on own nation port, however, goods shall be uncommon and more profitable than at the high safe zones. - 50% of unprotected full PVP zone: ports can be conquered like it is now. PVP is unlimited. Trading allowed as it is now (ports can be open and close like now). Building mines and farms shall be possible only on own nation port, however, goods shall be rare and most profitable compared to low and high safe zones. This allows players to play they own way: PVP, trading, crafting, etc. This will attract players not interested in pure PVP to find their own way to play the game. I am sure that game population would grow again. I'm not afraid that players will stay at hight safe zone. Attracting players to collect very rare and valuable goods in PVP zone port will push them to risk their ships without necessary pushed by developers. The same time clans and nations will be more interesting to fight for ports with rare goods and good trade routes. This is only example of changes that may attract peoples back to the game and increase game population. Big population will give sharks more preys....
  10. Dear all, What a genius invented mission reset limits with this mission random picking? Mission shall stack to the port area they have been pick up. If 'd like to have a mission in Port Ann I'd sail over there. Why I getting missions to !@#!@ Saint Ann from KPR? Fix it this issue and then mission reset will not be a problem. The real problem in this game are developers. They try to push players so hard for pvp that they do absolute everything to get to their goal. That's why every new patch the game is losing players. Developers do not understand it rules that successful MMO's are working. In all respect I have to say again, developers seems to be a brilliant programmers but very bad developers. At the moment when they start to sell a product, it is not their anymore. Product belongs to customers so it has to be somehow adapted to customers expectation. Unfortunately our developers are too arogant to understand it. That lead game to leak players and slowly disappear. The success of any product are measure by it's popularity and players reactions. We can see popularity by number of active players and game rating on steam. Way to Go developers !!!
  11. That's why this game is losing players all of the time. look around for any successful MMO's sandbox. pvp cannot be more then 30-40% of the game content (EVE online, WoW, Albion, etc.). It is the same rule leading real live. if you push to only pvp this game will end with ~100 players which will cry about lack of targets. Many MMO's that try to stick purely to pvp died (Warhammer, etc.). So if you want this game to grow and have more target you have accept fact that MMO requires huge pve part. If not game will die. That is a problem that developers does not understand it here.
  12. There is a few problem that may not be related players. This game is still called alpha. There are not training tools where new players can learn how to sail, use different weapon and charges.,there is no tools to learn newbies how to keep formation. So when you call pvp and new players join a battle, you can see what happens in battle report. I've been rammed 4 time by own nation players, once even turned to enemy's (lucky I managed to interrupted boarding). Another friendly player was stuck on newbie that didn't allowed him to turn out when he was main target, results, he lost ship in a 1st minute of the battle. WE try to organize new players but they even don't join TS or discord. I'm not sure if they are all even understand it English... (judge by they reactions on battle channel I doubt if they know English). I don't blame newbies, they try but 50% of them will drop game after week of been ganked by HERO's. Dews try to make safe zone to protect new players but it didn't work well. We try to take new's to our clan, learn them and supply with ships they lose so they don't drop a game. But honesty, pve mission's ain't good enough to learn pvp. I'm personally scared to bring more than 1-2 newbies to the pvp battle. there are no time to explain them mechanics quick enough before they get sink. So we shalll be all for good of the game find the way how can we get new players into the game before they will be discourage ... maybe game shall not allowed to get a battle between blayers that are 2 levels difference or sotething like that ....
  13. I is pathetic when experience players are coming to KPR and shots newbies. yes, you are HERO. So yes, it was a shame battle but when you get 10 experience players with 15 newbies that happens. Newbies messing more with own fleet that enemy's. And yes again, GB nation is suffering difficult since 3 biggest clan turn over to pirates. but all those HERO's killing newbies around KPR are really pathetic. As for me those players which play this game not so long but trying to fight and dying get more respect then others. That is best way to discourage new players to the game. that s the reason there is 500 players online not 5k. Go show you power against newbies, pathetic.
