I just tested with the game being focused (i.e. not minimized), and after about 15 minutes (without touching the mouse or keyboard) the game showed the inactivity message but did not ring the ship's bell. There must've been a change, intentional or not, that eliminated the ship's bell sound from the inactivity message. PLEASE, add it back, along with the flashing taskbar icon warning for people sailing with the game minimized. I'm definitely not gonna spend 7 hours looking at a screen without being able to do anything other than moving the mouse.

I have been doing morning trade runs that are pretty long (PvE server). Since they involve 3 hour sailing times for each leg, mostly I minimize the game and go do something else with my time. Normally this goes fine, with the game disconnect bell ringing every so often, I switch back to the game and move the mouse, everything is fine. Beginning yesterday, on the return trip of my morning run, I started getting returned to the main menu without any warning. No bell sounded, no flashing icon on the taskbar. The game simply dumped me back to the main menu with no warning. This is now repeating itself today. I get no warning, the game quits to the main menu. This makes long range trading essentially impossible, since I'd need to be switching back to the game every few minutes just to make sure I haven't been dumped to the main menu. Since I know someone is gonna mention it, NO, I'm not having connection issues with anything other than NA. Everything else is fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. P.S.: I tested it and it's happening in less than 10 minutes of the game being minimized. So it's not even reaching the timer for the ship's bell disconnect warning.

Well, I'm done. I play on the PvE server, and crafting and collecting ships was my main thing. If they are going, I'm going as well. I guess I should've expected this reversal of decision....again. First we were gonna get ships wiped, then Admin said they wouldn't wipe PvE at all because it didn't make sense, and now it's a wipe again... Whatever...bye.

Yup, confirmed. Lost all ships except the ones that were being auctioned or not sold.

Another item I'd like to have a confirmation for is paints. I got a couple of paints off some Deadman's Chests, and I'd like to know if the paints will survive this wipe.

Also, I realize that @Ink is likely swamped right now because of the major patch, so I don't mind waiting for proper restitution.

This is what happened to my ship when I crashed, the ship just furled all sails and stood there taking the pounding from the AI fleet, while I was trying to log back in. I then managed to log back in, put the ship underway and started escaping, then the game crashed again, and when I finally managed to come back for a second time, the ship was sunk.

Bump.

I play on PvE and was doing a solo fight, so there were no other players involved. Well, I'm kinda pissed off that I lost a ship I had been given by my first friend in this game a couple of years ago and that was reasonably well equipped. The ship itself would be the least of my worries, but losing the British Gunnery Sergeant attached to it and the Edinorogs hurts. A lot. And all because the client/server started screwing up. It's understandable to be irritated.

Nope, it happened to me before, just never in battle. Whenever it happens, I test EVERY OTHER GAME I play.....NONE of them have any issues. P.S.: And the ping had nothing to do with my loss, the game crashing repeatedly and not allowing me back in did.

I just lost my Bucentaure in battle because I kept getting DCed, the game crashing and not being able to reconnect to the game. The server kept showing pings of 4+ seconds and crashing before connecting. Once I managed to get back in and was escaping the enemy fleet, and then the game crashed again. When I got back in, my ship was half underwater and the battle was over. I'd like my ship restored, please. Bucentaure, 3/5, WO/WO, with Cartagena/Navy Structure/British Gunnery Sergeant. It was carrying a full deck of 1 Pood Edinorogs as well (the other cannons are easily replaceable). P.S.: I also filed an F11 bug report.
