  1. +1. A few of the ideas in this thread are awesome. I would love it if the whole Shenandoah Valley battle set were presented in this suggested "campaign" mode. Also, would love some battles where you bring a division instead of a corps or a brigade instead of a division, and your brigades are cut into smaller chunks (5ish for the brigade level, and maybe 2-3 for the division level battles). Could have randomly generated sub commanders, and the brigade commander could appear like the corp commander in bigger fight (or the division commander could appear, if applicable). I do expect that this would be a lot of work, but personally, I would pay for this (as an expansion, maybe?). To be clear, I would want this integrated into the main game, not as a standalone or separate expansion. Would also be great if battles were included as part of the Western theatre, with us having the ability to detach some of our Corps and be able to participate with rewards being scaled for the amount of troops we detach. This would mean those troops might not be available for some Eastern theatre battles, so it would be a balancing act with risk/reward (travel time figured, etc.). This would really bump the AO stat in importance. Again, would be willing to pay for improvements like this.
  2. I agree that Cross Keys is, at best, a push with the money and men you are given after the battle versus what you lose. Oddly enough, in order to keep my casualties down, I make a flanking attack on my left, sweeping down on the Union from the top of the map, rather than fighting defensively at the VPs. Unfortunately, this further tips the Confederates toward more offensive battles than they fought in reality. Course, it's more fun, so there is that. In that vein, I would like to see the Chickamauga (Chattanooga?) Campaign included, as long as we are going more offensive. Historically, only 1 corps was sent from the ANV, which might allow us some opportunity to gain money and recruits without risking our whole army. The missions where we use someone else's army are pure gold.
  3. This might be related to the bug I saw last night when trying to play Fredericksburg. After the first phase (the short one where you just defend the city), I noticed that the game had changed the order of my 3 Corps on the main map. It kept putting my weakest Corp on my right flank, when I originally had them set on my left. I tried a couple of different saves, same thing happened. I tried reordering the Corps (restarting the battle a few times) and all would hold correctly except wherever I put the 3rd Corps, it would always end up on the right flank. I tried to go to camp and shift brigades from my 2 corps to the weak one, but when I started the scenario, I only had the original brigades from the weak 3rd Corps. This is a gamebreaking bug for me. I also reported through F11.
