Ahoy, pirate here. I haven't been on in a couple years and only read a few of the more recent updates so I could've easily overlooked something but there's been this thing that's bugged me since I began my life of piracy back in 2016. One thing that bugs me most is that I'm forced to completely disable and board a trade ship to take it. In AC4 that was fun, but I really don't wanna have to do that for every single merchant ship I attack. If realism is the goal here, than why not have a system where it calculates your ship and crews firepower and your rank perhaps and compares it to that of your AI target. Add in whatever variables would apply and roll for the chance that the enemy ship surrenders before the fight even starts, or surrenders after a certain amount of damage is sustained.

Right, so hello kitty me then? There really needs to be either no limit, or a much higher limit because I fully agree that it's kinda killing this game. One of the things anyway.

When I play this game, I wanna keep coming back to it. And as you can see, I do. Alot. So you're doing alot right, but there's always room for improvement. When I play this I at least want to know that as a noob, I can get started easy, and always want more or to try different things. If I can get something out of this game in 30 minutes or less, I'm gonna stay with it until it stops giving me shit. That being said, if I want anything really good or ever be really great at something, I should have to put effort into it. But at any level I should feel like I have room to experiment and try new things. Adding more smaller vessels was a good move, now I have more options than a cutter, pickle or privateer that's cheap enough for me to use comfortably, but not afraid to lose. The upgrades and xp slots are a good idea, just need to remove the caps on bonuses and penalties. I should feel free enough to experiment without feeling like I can't get more out of a ship.

No unreasonable restrictions on battles, and literally no two ships should be exactly the same. If I keep fighting the same kinds of ships over and over again, I get bored. I could try to get into trading, but that's difficult to start up with all the pvp around the main trade ports. Open up the economy so everybody needs something, then whatever I have, I can make at least some money on. Pvp is good for building on what you know about your ships. Pve missions are great for trying new things, even if its an easy kill, I'll use that to learn all about how my ship handles and still get something out of it. As long as I can get something out of this game, I'll keep coming back.

I just listen to whatever I like, sometimes it's CCR, AC/DC all the way to Alestorm. If it sounds good, I'll listen to it.

Texas how's it going up there? I hear the flooding is pretty bad in some places.

Yesterday I capped a traders brig, but at the end of boarding I just got sent back to OW without the option to take the cargo. Did something change that I didn't catch or did he just have an empty ship?

The headset works like headphones when plugged into the pc headphone jack, I just have no mic. I'm hoping this will allow me to use the mic along with the headphones.

I think it's about time I got a headset with a mic and got on some TS. However, I don't want to have to buy another one when I could use the turtle beach set for my Xbox One if possible. I think all I need is an adapter for the headphones and mic, but has anyone else done this? is there anything else I need?

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I think the pirate flags should be able to be modified a bit. Historically, pirates would create their own variations on the black flag, and that would add a great level of personalization to this game. Which is another thing this game needs a bit of, aside from paints.
