    'Poltava' 1712 (Replica)

Years after reading his biography i am still in awe of the man who journeyed to the west and got his hands dirty learning from the most humble ones, bringing his skills and knowledge back for the benefit of his country. I hope i live to see a president that deserves to be called "the great"in any of the countries i live in.

    Blame devs for everything

Naval action actually has one of the least toxic communities i have seen overall, not counting niche games that do not have any kind of toxicity whatsoever. The toxicity is mostly just the usual drama and egos. Red dragon by contrast is pretty much a diluted version of 4chan with it's nazi trolling on the main chat. And while it is certainly true that a bad community scares away a certain number of players, i cannot think of a game that has died because of it, while i can name a great many that thrive despite their toxic community. I think that in general game quality player gain and retention outweighs player loss due to toxic communities. If the toxic community player loss outweighs the player gain and retention then there might be a bigger problem than the community.

    Waiting for E3?

Besides Cyberpunk 2077 nothing at the E3 really gets me, most of the games i am interested in are not represented there. @Hethwill mentioned a few that i am eagerly waiting for thought, such as burden of command and rule the waves 2. Hype. There is an unusual amount of tycoon games coming this year as well, maybe 20 of which i am keeping an eye on, but i don't know what they will be worth. This includes project hospital and hard ancient life in particular. And yes, bannerlord, but i don't know how much more innovative it will be compared to the first. Further down the road there is Akhenaten and life of Rome.

I expect regular players injecting some money into it at the cost of less people buying the game when they see the DLC and new people quitting the second they realize that they have to pay extra on top of what they already paid. I for one would not have bought the game if i had seen such a DLC and i know that most of the people i know wouldn't either. Reviews will take a hit as well.

Ship without masts, yet with flags.

    Looking for Desk Suggestions

Buy some wood and make your own, it's easy if you just make a basic desk, for 500 bucks you can make something that would cost you several thousands in shops. Or could you spend 150 and make it look 600. If you cannot borrow the gear from a buddy or a shop, you can ask your local woodworker for a quote, obviously a bit higher priced than doing it yourself and you loose on the fun. Some rural woodworkers are dirt cheap ( usually the ones that don't even have a website ). Say something like this ( random pic ). It's really just some dirty planks to get shipped to you, clean them up ( need a tool, mask, goggles ), put some laque, fix it together, done. Google is your friend.
