Bonden, I have UBOAT. Though I've only just dipped my toe in the water so far, too much real life going on atm, I look forward to playing it. It started off really rough but they seem to be on a good patch path. It's going to be a very fun game. (Now if they only could have merchant subs I'd really like it.) Great research Bonden. Admin, Oh how you've made my day. I've been away for awhile working on my old house, being out and about with my nice seadog (Had him 3 years now.), and dealing with the chaos happening here. Today I dropped in on my main computer to find such great changes. I like them. Ready to get onboard just as soon as it's available. Please make it so we can use Steam or maybe PayPal if it's not ready for Steam yet. Oh my! Now I'll really have to build a new computer. MSFS 2020 is already forcing me down that road. Bonden, and all others who have contributed to these threads, well done and thanks again. My Seadog Wade and I are looking forward to this. I would like to see a merchant career line in this game and eventually an explorer career line too. Possibly DLC to open up new areas of the map. I would eventually like to be able to sail the whole world. Also the ability to establish colonies, plantations, etc. Petty Officer Wade has grabbed his captain and is dragging me off before I can get into trouble. " Darn master!!!!! Always pest'rin the Devs, again he does it!!!! Ask',in too much, push'in the boundaries of his betters. Some day he'll go too far and then I'll be an orphan again and I ain't let'in that happen!!!!!". Darn DOG!!!!!! Let go of my pant leg!!!!!!! I'm old and wobbly. Hello Bonden, Absolutely wonderful thread. It was an enjoyable and educational read. Caused me to buy the book on rigging. He also has one, that I bought, on fore and aft rigging. Greetings all, Thanks to all the above who ask such great questions, many of which have been rolling around in my head. My Seadog and I have been waiting for this. Much thanks to Admin for the answers. I have a request (Ducking to miss the flying over ripe tomato.). If it is possible please include a seadog NPC. My present dog is a 38 kilo yellow lab/hound mix. A Newfoundland is also a good choice, my old one was 90+ kilos. Awesome water dog, couldn't stay out of it. I'm on board when you're ready. Can't wait to sail. Captains, Admin and Devs, Onboard my Pickle, Kidd's Harbour. Waiting........waiting........waiting. My awesome Seadog Wade is guarding me, he thinks I'll do something stupid. He made me SIT on the doghouse forward of the pumps and told me to STAY. Oh, the ignominity of it all, being told what to do by a dog. I sit and wait.......Petty Officer Wade brings me tea, tea mind you! Says I can't have any rum till the deed is done. So I sit and wait, guarded by those teeth that could rip a mans arm off if he wanted to. "Don't test me Master. A couple of months and I've had you for 2 years and I don't want to go back to being a feral dog. So you just STAY put. That's what you tell me all the time." So I sit, drink my tea and wait...........See you all on the other side. Drat dog let me be! I promise I'll not do anything stupid!!! Ahoy Captains, The anticipation is nearly killing me. In a fit of anticipatory angst I ran up on deck and threw myself over the rail. Seadog Wade jumped in after me and drug me back on board. After depositing me on my quarterdeck he told me to SIT and Stay or he would have me confined to my cabin.Insolent dog! 37kg (80lbs), "DON'T argue with my teeth and all will be well Capt." I'll have words with that dog after I've recovered from taking in all this water. *Falls over....Plop* (Petty Officer Wade) "Don't worry. I'll lick and revive him later so he can watch the fireworks. You will have fireworks won't you?" I think Master says, "Fair sailing.", or something like that. I say "WOOF, make it so."

AMEN, AMEN, AMEN!!! Is everything perfect...No. Do I love messing around in ships?.....Yes. Does this game, above all others get me as close to what I want as I can get?.....Yes. Do I enjoy it?....Yes. Can I find/do better?....NO. Captain Ed and Seadog 2nd Class Wade are going to continue to sail the High Seas with joy and vigor for as long as the servers are up and have a hell of a great time doing so, come hell or high water. Ahoy Captains, After an exhaustive search of the east and north sides of the map I have found no way in. Yet. I did find this interesting place at the northeast corner of the map. Now off to other great adventures with the indomitable Petty Officer Wade by my side. Hint, hint (Not so subtle.) I want a canal. Fair sailing all in our new adventures at the release from Alpha.

Hello Admin and Devs, I know that it is probably to late to ask for this but could you consider offering the Le Requin and Pandora in trader trim? The Le Requin would make an awesome smuggler, minus a bunch of guns and with much less crew, my research tells me they did that when they were out of work as raiders. The Pandora would make an awesome shallow water 3 mast trader for those tired of sailing a brig. Thanks for an awesome time and myself and Seadog Wade are looking forward to many more adventures on these wonderful seas.

Thanks Papillon. I'll try that tomorrow because there was simply too much to do this evening. I'll send Seadog Wade to Capt. Martin to get underway at once. If he can find an opening I'll probably join him and we can enjoy it together. I role play and both characters are entirely different. BTW. Admin, if you're listening, on Peace Server, it's extremely aggravating to not be able to talk to "Enemy Player" even if it's only me to myself. Please let us talk to each other on the Peace Server. Yes Captains. I tried for 3 hrs last night to get through the ditch in the south with my Spanish character Capt. Martin. No luck. Today with my American character Capt. Ed in the north. No go. Seadog Wade even woofed it and growled it, but to no avail. I'll try the Bridgetown area tonight. If we can no longer get in then Admin and Ink need to give us a canal. Now back to work. Yes, please! I would happily pay $25.00 for the DLC. Galapagos would be AWESOME plus some rare occasional treasure. Now back to work.

Regardless of how it turns out or what anyone else thinks or does, Capt. Ed and Seadog Wade are going to have a great time just going down to the sea in pixel ships and doing business on the great waters. I will probably be mostly on the Peace server because it best fits all the other things going on in my life. Not as much thrill but I can't have everything. Congratulations and best sailing all.

Please Admin and Devs, open the Pacific with a proper canal, turn on the fishing and bottles, place a few cities and towns. Too beautiful a place to waste. I'd even pay for it as a DLC. For the War server 3 strategically placed canals would be good so no one clan could block it. Have to get back to work. Fair sailing and best of luck on the release. I'm looking forward to it.

Ahoy Captains and Devs, Some of the best, most enjoyable and instructive conversations I've had in Naval action have been with enemy captains, some of which have just sunk me. One time I was talking to a player I had escaped from and was out in the Atlantic, obviously not paying attention to my situational awareness, when I was tagged and sunk by 3 Spanish. I laughed so hard at my surprise at being snuck up on that I about fell out of my chair. Scolded my poor departed Seadog Max for not keeping a proper lookout. Look folks, if someone gets nasty on chat just ignore them or report them if it's bad enough. If they're mean and nasty they're living in their own little version of hell and we should pity them, not let them ruin our day or game. My experience? 98% awesome people in this game in 2+ years. Good evening Captains and Devs, I personally want the "Enemy Player " names and ability to hail back, at the very least on the PVE server. I also like the idea for someone of lower level to be able to get some sort of reward for having the guts to battle a higher level player instead of running off.
