  1. Just a moment please... Grey, green, blue and purple ships have been build in the past ans from time to time I've even bought them. I agree that in the past (e.g. before the port wipe) there were mostly Gold ships build. This was result of the availability of resources. That Situation has been changed completely with th port wipe (e.g. only six ports producing Silver or two ports producing Live-Oak). For a certain amount of time Clans might have their warehouses filld with these resources, but once they have exhausted that reserve I would expect to see a lot more of grey, green, blue and purple ships sailing around as most People can't affort to build only gold ships. Probably you Devs should wait some weeks to see the real Impact of the port wipe patch. This one sounds like a quick shot from the hip to me.
  2. In general I really like that idea, esp. that missions are open for 30 min so a nation has a chance to defend their regions. One thing looks a bit annoying and at least totally unrealistic: Ships, joining a mission after some minutes are spawning at the same place. For instance, a group of three Frigates fighting a single NPC SOL can find themselves just in the middle of a bunch of 10 enemy players with SOL's etc. ... out of blue, magically appeared in carronade distance... uh greetings from David Copperfield! I would suggest, that ships joining a mission later should spawn in some distance to the battle - the later they join the bigger the distance. Our real life counterparts 250 years ago would have seen a reinforcement fleet in a battle hours before and so should we. Edit: Removed some awkward typo's - shouldn't write such posts drunk and in the middle of the night.
  3. I have to say that I don't like those kind of threads. While it's a showing off for one side it's an embarrasment for the other. Those two screenshots that are usually posted never tell the story behind that battle. Two screenshots (a snapshot of a battle) won't entertain me much. And last but not least, a real sportsman won't show off like this with his success and for sure he won't embasrass his opponents. Videos are different - thy are entertaining.
  4. Ahm... a year before Spain was still fighting against the allied forces aside the French Edit: So you are f***ed anyway: The Brits will say Spanish are not grateful for the help, the French will say Spain was backstabbing them. What a mess
  5. If you are referring to real history, you probably forgot that the perfidious Albion was kicking the French and Napoleon Bonapartes brother Joseph who claimed to be King out of Spain between 1807 and 1814. Something the Spanish were not able to achieve on their own. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peninsular_War Just saying
  6. Capt. Pellasgos, I have to admit, that my wording on that post was not polite. I apology for that. I would rather have asked you to express yourself and your probably valid points in a more polite way so they would get noticed in a way they deserved.
  7. Indeed, you did. Like we were asking you not to take Fort Oranje. You agreed to our request, we didn't. At least we didn't so far. You were claiming that the Flag for Fort Oranje were already on its way when we requested that favor. The Dutch Nation High Council will have it's regular meeting tomorrow 1900 CEST and we will for sure discuss this topic and vote for a decision. Unfortunately there are always some over motivated players in our country that can't wait and probably won't even follow the Councils decisions. I believe you know what I mean because you - or the French - lets say your coalition claimed to have the same issue with some clans and/or players - and you don't have a P.
  8. Mijnheer, I believe you're mixing up different threads... Who is crying about your allies? It's up to you to choose yours and up to us to choose ours.
  9. Who is whining about 3 vs. 1? I'm looking forward to the new PB System and I hope this will end the fake attack to take ports without fighting bs. And sure, I really understand that you Frenchies need good allies that do the hard work. We prefer to do the hard work by our own.
  10. Capt. Pellasgos, first of all, unlike you I watch my mouth. Second, the Dutch Nation High Council decided to send their diplomats to the Spanish just to see if something could be achieved for the Dutch player base with the upcoming port wipe in mind. Third, neither I nor my fellow Diplomat bowed to the enemy. You were not there so I consider everything you wrote came out of your crude fantasy. And last but not least: I'm grateful for the fact that is is not up to you to get anyone of the representatives of the Dutch Nation High Council or Diplomatic Corps to step down from his role.
  11. When we came on your TS the Flag was not planted and you assured us to stop it. Anyway, I considered this as an offer from your side and you decided not to fulfill it and you have had the right to do so. Yes, at this point in time we had 8-9 ports. But these are finally ports we will loose with the port wipe - so no place you want to store your stuff. Yo may probably not understand the issue and the importance of Fort Oranje and Fort Zoutman in conjunction with the port wipe because Spain will not face that problem, so let me explain: Together with Willemstad which is our capital, Fort Zoutman and Fort Oranje are the only ports that will belong to the Dutch Nation after the port wipe. Sure we will get Fort Baai, Oranjestad and Philipsburg in the North but they won't help us now because they're too far away. If Dutch players want to store their stuff in a place they can access after the port wipe then it has to be Willemstad, Fort Oranje and Fort Zoutman. Therefore it's most important for the Dutch player base to keep those ports. When we came to your TS getting back Fort Zoutman and keeping Fort Oranje was all we were asking for. No peace treaty or cease fire, no agreement for anything. I told you that we're fine to fight you in OW and anywhere else but you decided to take Fort Oranje and attack Rio Tokuyo afterwards. Once more: No complaints from my side. It would have been a generous gesture to let us keep Fort Zoutman and Fort Oranje for the reasons I explained above. You didn't, that's OK for me. But f**ing don't tell me it's in the responsibility of a few independent French players that this happened.
  12. Well, I won't call that actually an agreement. I have considered as an offer from their side. They offered it to us as a gesture of good will for the time coming after the port wipe when we become neighbors. And they decided to retract that offer for whatever reason.
  13. Brits and Dutch stopped that campaign when Spain had 15-16 ports left IIRC. They were not attacked on the North side of Cuba - still enough to maintain a player base, get people together, trade and build new ships and come back into the game. So Spain was not reduced to two ports while facing a port wipe where you own only one port that will ye yours after the wipe. I still believe these are two completely different situations.
  14. Ah, Vicious, no crocodile nor any other tears on my side. Finally to bring it to the point: We talked to the Spanish two days ago and asked them for the generous favor to let us keep the ports of Fort Zoutman and Fort Oranje since these are the only ones left to us after the port wipe. Nothing more, nothing less. We told them that we would be happy to fight them on Open Water and any other port. If we were not facing the upcoming port wipe we would have never made that request. Such a gesture would have suited a real Gentleman. It would have kept doors open for the time coming after the port wipe. And last but not least it would have shown respect to the game, the community and the Dutch player base. Well, they assured us to stop the Flag on Fort Oranje and give Fort Zoutman back if we become neutral in the Spanish - British conflict. One hour later they raised the Spanish Flag at Fort Oranje. The rest you can see with a short glimpse on the map.
  15. Ahm... Vicious, I believe you're barking on the wrong guy. Stilgar is a Dutch country fellowmen I believe
  16. With all my respect Sir, but I couldn't assume the content of this mail as an proposal. And the "proposal" we got afterwards would have meant that we would have betrayed our allies. What did you expect? That we stay neutral when you get on the Brits while you're still supporting your French and Danish allies against us? And again, I'm fine with it. But what happened in the past two days is a completely different story and has nothing to do with any "Peace" offers.
  17. Mijnheer Tenakha Kan, please excuse me, but that is really a damn good joke. I did never know that French have such a fine sense for black humor, always thought that this is up to the Brits.
  18. Shall I bring evidence in form of a screenshot of the personal conversation I had with your Diplomat Celtiberofrog on the 11th of September? And by the way, your "joke" was lame ...
  19. The 'Someone' situation has been explained and cleared several times in the past. At the best will, you can't take that as an excuse for anything. But you did it. So what? I consider this as one of the weakest excuses I have ever read. IIRC the three Admirals Treaty was about setting up a PVP Zone at Hispaniola and leave the National territories untouched until the deployment of a patch. It was about protecting esp. your player base and IIRC the Spanish Nation never ratified that treaty so it was never legally effective. And with all respect Sir, you don't know what would have happen. This is the same weak excuse you tried above. I would appreciate if you would show cojones and tell it like it is: You Spanish,French and Danish guys decided to make us a one port nation and you did it. Period. And unlike the British and the Dutch you and your allies didn't care about your enemies player base. You continued until that goal was reached even when it meant to get bored by taking empty ports. I'm pretty fine with it. No complains from my side and from my personal view I'm ready to fight you again and again and again from Willemstad and any other Freetown.
  20. First: Your Diplomat Celtiberofrog contacted me and was asking for a Dutch Diplomat or if Capt. Pellasgos is the one to talk to. That was about three weeks ago and before your "Peace" offer. I told him that Capt. Pellasgos is no official representative of the Duch Nation (and he still isn't) and who were the Diplomats he should contact. So it was well known to your Diplomats who to contact within the Dutch Nation. Second: Historically speaking the Spanish, the major force of the world at this time, were not able to defeat the Dutch will for freedom within 80 years and they were accepting Dutch independence and the Republiek der Zeven Verenigde Nederlanden in the Peace of Münster in 1648 and I doubt that they would have done this if they would have seen any chance to defeat the Dutch. So historically speaking: The Dutch kicked Spanish ass.
  21. We were not asking for a peace! We asked for the favor to keep the ports of Fort Zoutman and Fort Oranje in order to have a chance to prepare for the upcoming port wipe. I would have considered that as a generous gesture that would suit real gentlemen. If it was so boring, why did you do it? Why did you Spanish, French and Danish guys take so much empty ports, attacked repeatedly Traders Brigs two times within 15 minutes with a Buccentaure and a Constitution or a lonely Cerberus by two Buccentaure, two Constitutions and a Rattlesnake? * I agree with you - I consider that as boring too. But why did you do it? Why did you guys run with three Trincomalees and three Renomees all led by Admiral-Level players from one Constitution and a bunch of frigates and brigs led by mid level players? Same question to those three Ingermanlands that were escorted by two Belle Poules. I believe I have the answer to this. * Thanks for that fight! Turning my Cerberus and sinking that Rattlesnake with two sides within two minutes was worth it. I would have loved to see the face of that Captain... so fear me
  22. I pray for a good wind blowing from North to South to fill their sails and bring them home soon.
  23. The following is a very personal statement: @ Capt. Pellasgos: Why, for heavens sake, can't you just shut up only for once? Sir, with all my respect, but I want to make it as clear as possible: Capt. Pellasgos is only speaking for himself! His post gives a bad name to himself only! Personally I consider the statements of Spain and France in this thread as a unilateral decision. The Dutch Nation High Council will decide whether they will accept these offers or not. The Dutch Nation Diplomatic Corps got into contact with Spanish and French Diplomats when we were already reduced to 6-7 ports and kindly asked to stop or even grant us the favor of keeping those ports that remain to the Dutch Nation after the upcoming Port Wipe so players could have a save harbor for their ships. Both, the Spanish and the French pretended to be friendly but then they went for taking empty ports and made us a two port nation. You Spanish, French and Danish "Gentleman" were bashing someone who already lay on the floor.
