  1. I agree, but lets do this without cargo. Otherwise I would just buy 5x trader lynx and let the AI transport the goods for me decently safe. Furthermore, if I would lose one its only 800 cargo, so I can easily spread cargo to avoid heavy losses.
  2. I just did a mission with my santi versus a npc Victory. I had long cannons and top deck carronades, so I got close to him immediately, my first broadside ripped through his armor (from ~50 meters). Because we were sailing opposide directions he managed to pull some range from me, but I still unloaded my other broadside, which only did minimal damage (thus a few penetrations), from ~250 meters. Then I decided to get close, again to ~50 meters and started melting his armor, it only took me ~10 min to sink him. So I agree with the admin, that at range the armor is too strong. However, from really close range I think it is fine. ps. I would like to provide some links of images of the battle, but I cannot find any forum rules..
  3. Will this mean that 1st to 3rd rates will only be able to fight for Regional deep water capitals AND only be able to dock up in Regional deep water capitals (and ofc regular capitals)? Because I only read a definite statement about fighting and a small hint about docking.
  4. Please keep in mind, when you only lose crew when you lose your last dura, people will break up/sell that last dura to circumvent the crew loss. Although this might only be an issue on Trinco/Essex and smaller ships, because they are relatively cheap. EDIT: Thought this might be intended (to make big ships harder to crew), but it feels a bit like cheating (breaking up a ship after you lost 4 dura to avoid crew loss).
  5. Totally agree with all points, this game can be very overwhelming for new players.
  6. IMPORTANT: 1.5 BR mechanic is allready being abused by pirates (I will not name them). 3 Pirate Constitutions were sailing in our water, accompanied by 1 spanish 3rd rate (they were sailing in group together). When our fleet was about to grap them, "their" spanish 3rd rate tagged the conni's.. Which didn't even allow a fair fight from our side. This is probably not how this mechanic is intended. Hopefully the mechanic will be tweaked soon. ps. sorry for 2nd post in different topic (I think this topic is more appropriate)
