Help Needed for Union Cavalry Raid for iOS

I have the same problem on IOS! I have attempted the suggestions by muggl3z to no avail. I am more than troubled by how the confederate units are as FAST in pursuit of a Calvary units??? I am even using the "easy" mode on IOS. Suggestions
