  1. And you forget that the timeline isn't just 1790. At the start of the official timeline, the Dutch navy was the number one; and since we have zero ships even though we had a ship win a player selection poll is a slap in the face.
  2. I for one bought the game because of the inclusion of Dutch ships (remember the poster with each ship by nationality?); though it turned out to be a Swedish ship. Also, I voted for a Dutch ship in the 2015 poll, it won; we got a Swedish ship. Just because you got the ship you wanted doesn't mean we don't deserve a ship!
  3. I must say I didn't think to search for half-models (mainly because it would be hard to model from just one viewpoint), but is it the Pallas (or any other of the names associated with the model at https://www.rijksmuseum.nl/en/collection/NG-MC-313)?
  4. I've got to say, you've got me stumped. The closest ship I've been able to find has been the Prinses Fredrika, with everything else I've seen having either a different amount of gun ports, or the hull looks nothing like the model.
  5. Going off of the new evidence, the closest ship I can find is the Prinses Fredrika Louise Wilhemina; though if it is, the plans don't match another view of the stern that I found here (The plans have five windows, the drawing has seven).
  6. Ok, my calculations give the mysterious ship roughly a 17 ft draught, with a length of around 160 ft. This coupled with the new information that isn't a two decked vessel make me guess that it's either the Amphirite or Eendracht (both 40 gun frigates). Edit: Of course it could also be the 44 gun Phoenix if you found it's plans.
  7. The only plans that I can find with 11 gun ports per side is the bombard corvette posted above. (Though I did cheat by looking at the ships modeled by Naval Dilettant) Edit: That would also mean the otherwise unidentifiable model would be his 44 gunner, making it the Beschermer.
  8. The only problem with this would be that it would incentivise people to choose nations like Britian (because even though they were also a trading nation, and the Netherlands was the number 1 naval power at the start of the time-period, you know people would complain if Britian didn't get a militaristic perk).
  9. What else are we to do? Win a player selection poll... already done in 2015.
  10. I think that it would be a second rate. It has less guns than all of the first rates in game, and has less broadside weight as well.
  11. The Johanna Cornelia was built in 1828, and is shown in the painting to be flying the flag of Vlierboom en Zonen. I did not find much more, except that it was sold in 1859. Source: http://www.maritiemdigitaal.nl/index.cfm?event=search.getdetail&id=100097175
  12. From looking through the Ship paintings thread, I could not find a single example of colored sails, or sails with patterns on them. While I'm not against having variants of off-white sails, I'd need to see an example from the in-game timeline to stomach anything more egregious.
  13. From the appropriate post (of which you are a major part of, and would have already read) Edit: Got rid of double quote
