pietjenoob
I would love to sail the ship guns are adequet for the job and yet can still holds it own. She would be a very good gap filler because the frigates are sometimes meh and the lineships too slow (both can do escort perfectly fine, but it is the feeling) A better question will be when are ships coming for the side which by some people called them Germans but are not
Alex Connor
Struggling to pin down dimensions for this ship, but from gunport count definitely a 4th rate. Armament carried was light even for a ship built in 1722, mixed 12/18lb maindeck and 8lb upperdeck. Then again, was treated as an undercrewed convoy escort, might well have been capable of carrying heavier guns. 24lb maindeck and 12 upperdeck would be standard 4th rate armament. Fluffy Fishy
I rather like her design, she looks a fair bit different from anything we have in the game right now, the paint job is also something I like, she almost looks like the yachts bigger brother. My concern is that she will sadly be left in port as a curiostiy piece due to that huge broadside profile. She looks to have a similar, if not taller structure than some of the 3rd rates, and when you are a diddy little 4th rate in a world occupied by 1st and 2nds or heavy frigates that is going to be a nightmare for her. In comparison to Agamemnon, which has much less of her sticking out the water she is already barely used, despite the comparatively higher payload too. I am particularly fond of those 4 rear facing guns though, they are a nice little touch. Edited November 3, 2016 by Fluffy Fishy
Vernon Merrill
Not sure what her role will be as she SHOULD be completely outclassed due to her armament. I hope they dont give her a increased armament in the name of "balance". That being said, someone did a pretty fantastic job with the model. As a reminder, in the French Navy, in the 1720's : - Le Brillant (1724), a 56-gun 4th-Rate, carried 24 guns (18-pdr), 26 (12-pdr) and 6 (6-pdr), - Frigates such as La Venus (1723) carried about 26-28 guns (6-pdr) - Corvettes carried around 6-16 guns (4-pdr) Not sure what her role will be as she SHOULD be completely outclassed due to her armament. I hope they dont give her a increased armament in the name of "balance". I'm in favor of an early-18C ship only zone (with historical armament) as there's a Rookie zone : - to have more early 18-C ships in NA, - to have them competitive among themselves without being outclassed by more modern vessels. (Of course, one could also use them outside the zone)
BungeeLemming
18 pounders paired with 12pounders is pure DPS and it she can get close to a frigate there is pain to be delivered... I Dont See her fight other 4ths unless she has good enough armor.

I Dont See her fight other 4ths unless she has good enough armor. I tried to set up Inger with 18lbs on both decks, and I think it's a pure Frigate killer. Unfortunately very weak vs 4th rates of same or better class. Wapen is definitely a must have ship in a Frigate pvp group or Coast patrol Groups with 6 or more 4th rates. I think Crew at Top rank will allow captains to have 2 NPC 18 lb Frigates on their side for solo travels. x2 Essex + Wapen would be my choice. DragonfireActual
I suppose this ship falls into the same area the Belle Poule falls into, maybe a super Belle? I hope that blue and gold trim stays on her in game,I like black and white checkering but that sexy blue and gold is something else!

Baptiste Gallouédec
Isn't she a little bit old for the timeline ? Like the Ingermanland and even the renommée they look a little bit "off" now next to the other ships. She is within the timeline if we go by official since that is 1680-1820, however since most ships in game atm are between 1760-1820 she does indeed look dated but i still think she a beaut in terms of looks. I concur, the Wapen looks absolutely gorgeous. I hope we'll see far more ships dating from before 1760.
Haratik
There's a chance she can be useless in the current meta, but be seen almost exclusively in merchant convoys as an escort, no? Wouldn't be a bad idea to see older ship designs in use as AI escorts.
Chimera
I like her. she has this galleon-like look which makes her look old compared to the newer slicker looking ships.
