Translation of the source (below) :
The Wasa, a Swedish (@sveno@rediii:)) 4th rate launched in 1778. Made from the plans of the famous naval architect Chapman, the Wasa had a shallow draft for sailing near the shores of the Baltic Sea.

Hm, interesting. Personally, she's not the most attractive ship out there with that blank bow and unfortunate color upon the stern there- yet, she commands majesty for sure. I wonder what her combat characteristics will be!

The Indiaman is a swedish (Chapman) design^^ And if you pre-ordered you sailed the yacht.

And if you ever sailed the frigate ingame - she is a chapman ship, too. swedish origins.

So technically you can already sail swedish vessels. ;)

the bow wont have a figurehead - yes. Sweden was chronically poor and from 19 ships launched during the reconstruction of the swedish navy only 6 vessels actually got a figurehead. All frigates - none of the ships of the line.. Sad story but historically correct.

The stern? Well you should wait for some more screenshots. Cause if the devs modeled her according to her RLmodel you will be in awe^^

The black thingy you propably mean is a little shed. The rudder helm is covered from musket fire and in general the crew is very well protected from the sides and above, too..

The white is welcome news compared to the appearance of black on our ingame ships atm.

This other paint scheme would be interesting if we didnt have markers upon our ships ingame. Cause this combination of colours makes it hard to see if there are one or two gunrows:

Thanks. So, no English translation yet?

Wasa was a Swedish ship of the line , built in Karlskrona in 1778 by Fredrik Henrik af Chapman drawing. Participated in 1788-1790 years sjötåg during Gustav III's Russian war . Sold in 1803 but re-purchased in 1808 and converted to the 50-gun ship. Abolished in 1827. The Swedish East India Company took advantage of Wasa for the trip to Canton 1803-1805. The crew was reduced as from 556 to 167 men. The ship was repurchased by the Navy in 1808 after his only trip to the East India Company.

I can use Google translator as well, but what I am trying to say is someone should update Wiki details about this ship. Guns ,crew, weight etc...

A sistership the Dristigheten:

Note the different stern gallery. Not sure what to think about this but hey.. She has a figurehead :D

Something about these cannons:

The chapman slide carriages. Designed to recoil "uphill" and pushed back outboard with the help of the angulation. The slide were fully wooden and apparently in heavy heavy fighting they started to smell :D The smell of charcoal..
