I tried to upload the latest patch for Ultimate General Civil War.  The upload crashed and I had to restart the computer.  The game will not launch.  I tried verifying and that gave me and error 1

What can be done?  Do I need to uninstall the game?

So when you verified it said that something was missing?

If you try to verify again what happens then?

Which error did you get? There are a few known Steam bugs I run into from time to time on other games I play. 

One of two things, totally uninstall and reinstall the game if it's hopeless; but try this first: 

Using Windows Explorer, delete your .exe file from Steam/Steamapps/Common/Ultimate Generals, Civil War folder. 

Going into Steam, Right-Click 'Ultimate Generals, Civil war'. Go to 'Properties' / 'Local Files' / and select 'Verify Integrity of Game files' then let it run. That should fix any problems you have.
