Therefore unilaterally and without conditions Spain declares she will not contest any ports to the East of Cabo de La Vela. All Spanish ports West of Cabo de la Vela will remain under Spanish control until further negotiations. Spain needs until Monday to remove our fleet from the affected ports and so asks the Dutch not to take those ports until that date. The Spanish captains wish to have it known that they believe the Dutch fight well and bravely and they consider them a worthy adversary. Spain also hopes for a future where she and the United Provinces might one day work together in achieving mutual goals. As such the French Council will not contest any ports west of La Blanquilla/ Macanao/ Cumana. All other ports will remain under French control until further negotiations. French evacuation of the contested ports will be effective on Monday. The Dutch Nation Diplomatic Corps got into contact with Spanish and French Diplomats when we were already reduced to 6-7 ports and kindly asked to stop or even grant us the favor of keeping those ports that remain to the Dutch Nation after the upcoming Port Wipe so players could have a save harbor for their ships. Both, the Spanish and the French pretended to be friendly but then they went for taking empty ports and made us a two port nation. To be honest i am a bit disapointed in in the Spanish and French nations, i expected them to be reasonable as i believe the Dutch have always been. We shoud have ended this war weeks ago, recognizing each other as great adversaries and gaming friend. Not as mortal enemies, each with their own glorious pride to defend and a nation to trample into the dust. This would have granted us some time to prepare for the Patch and wipe. Ofcourse i respect the spanish and France's call to end their war, although it leaves a bitter taste, for obvious reasons.
