Given the recent announcements over the past week by @admin I think it'd be a good idea to try and get as many of the clans/nation representatives who plan on either staying on the PVP Global server or merging into it together to try and hash out some alliance and balancing issues. It appears that there is going to be an asset wipe and with the PVE zone changes there has to be a map wipe. If the devs are going to go through with the Alliance changes, it's even more imperative we make sure the nations are about as equal as we can make it. No one likes a zerg. With the announcement that there might be chances to nation switching, this would be the time to do it. Figure by next Saturday we should HOPEFULLY have more answers from the dev team explaining a bit more about whats coming down the pipe. So....... Well, the impending ship total resource wipe and server changes is going to cause players to consider what nation they plan on playing for on the PvP2/Global server. I am already hearing rumblings and rumors of players switching - and that is good. Providing we can balance the nations a little. Currently on PvP2 we have the following approximate split of players. Mega alliance (55%) USA 30% GB 20% Dutch 5% Independent (20%) Pirate 20% Small Nations who typically ally (25%) Dane 10% Spain 5% France 5% Swede 5% Many of the players on PvP1 who are going to switch to PvP2/Global are currently playing USA, and some are GB or Pirate. From what I am reading (and hearing), most of the French and Dane PvP1 players are going to the Euro server. If the players coming from PvP1 don't join the smaller nations, there will be a huge imbalance of players across the nations. I know a few of the PvP2 players are considering nation changes too - but what I am hearing is fairly small scale moves that will help, but not really address the overall imbalance. Selfishly I would like to see many more players come to France, but the key is to get as many players move to the small nations during this switch. We all want PvP (except for a few care bears). I would like to get a feel for who is going where. If you are willing to publicly declare... let's hear. I will post the combined information here. THE THREE ADMIRALS TREATY By Cpt Pellasgos Prepared for: The nationS of Spain, Verenigde Provinciën and Britain 1) CUBA A ) Creation of a Dutch buffer zone B ) The Dutch buffer zone will include the towns of Little Cayman, Santa Cruz, Manzanilla, Portillo, Guama Sevilla. C ) The Dutch nation automatically becomes the guarantor and the protector of the buffer zone between theSpanish and the British nations. D ) In case an outside nation tries to change the makeup of the buffer zone, then the Spanish, Dutch and the British fleets must join forces and declare war upon the perpetration nation/s. E ) In case a rogue, or unaffiliated group of players, captures any port/s covered in this agreement, the signees must work together to recapture them in order to expedite them back to the original holder/s. Port timers must be confirmed with original holders for ease of recapture operations. F ) Dutch Spanish and British nations are forbidden to craft flags against each other crossed the entire area of Cuba and Jamaica. G ) Open world Pvp between the 3 signee nations is available in every portion of themap. H ) Georgetown will remain under British control unless rogue players or clans attempt to use this port to craft flags against the Spanish nation. IN this case, the Spanish nation is allowed to request intervention by Dutch navy to remove it as a threat. The Dutch agree to add it to the already established Dutch buffer for the remainder of the treaty. I ) The line which connects the Spanish ports of Santa Maria, Cocodrillo, and Corrientes, and all other ports in Cuba which sit north of it, are de- facto Spanish territories. The port of Trinidad will revert to Spanish control per this agreement. B ) The British and the Dutch nations are required to set the timers between 16-18 server time as the earliest, and 22-24 as the latest. C ) The aforementioned changes will happen within 48 hours of this document signing. 4) Admirals and Nations By signing this treaty the admirals of Verenigde Provincien, Britain and Spain hereby agree to all as follows: A ) A Peace treaty between Verenigde Provincien and Spain. B ) Spanish and British nations mutually agree to stop crafting conquest flags against each other except the specified mutually agreed contest area, also known as the “gentlemen’s war area”. Today the honourable Dutch Nation High Council consisting of the representatives of the Clans XIX, ARSE, ASEET, PVP, WOLF, 7UP, PPP, VAVI, DAS, Gh0st, PFK has decided to ratify the Three Admirals Treaty in order to establish a PvP Zone around the island of Hispaniola and to assure some good PvP action within the next weeks until the pending Diplomacy Patch will be rolled out. We, the Dutch Nation High Council, hope that this decision will be the basis for good PvP and Port-Battle action for everyone and therefore will be appreciated by the whole community. Furthermore the Dutch Nation High Council places huge importance on ensuring our friendship to the U.S. Nation. Hereby, the Dutch Nation refreshes their profession to stand with the U.S. Nation against any aggressor and offers to express our long term faithful friendship in concluding a formal alliance.

The Danish Norwegian nation has for the longest of time been affiliated with the pirate faction, and we have had a very constructive relationships with our dealings in warfare. Thanks to many of the pirate clans, we've been able to carry the game against much more larger foes and threats. The signatory of this post still remembers with fondness the help and mutual assistance we gave each other in common campaigns, before I took a hiatus of leave in the summer months for vacation. But both times and sentiments change and we've found it impossible to deal with their latest «diplomatic approaches». A friendship is based on mutual respect and understanding. While we do understand to an extent the predicament they face, the respect presented by the latest diplomatic approaches from Lord Vicious (Sorry Pirate clan leader) have in late been absent. On the contrary, it has been directly hostile, manipulative and insulting. I had a word with his pirate lordship the other day on teamspeak, in order to confront him with the incursion against the port of Macao on the eastern coast of Haiti. He explained to me that the capture of the port was sanctioned by our diplomats. Which is strange, since I had been assured by all our diplomats since we got news of their plans that the Danish diplomatic corps had refused any support for the Pirates against their enemies if it meant we had to turn over any Danish ports. According to Vicious on the other hand, our diplomats wanted to make a back room deal which meant they could attack the Swedes by using our ports as a staging ground, and we would allegedly only put up a token resistance to “show” the other nations that we didn't break any treaties. As I explained to him, no Danish diplomat has a carte Blanche to negotiate any such things without their respective clan leaders involvement. This fell on both deaf ears and on an increasingly heated temperament from his part (which ended in him rage quitting our conversation). His position was uncompromising as he continued to make threats not only against the Danish nation as a whole but also about releasing some “incriminating” evidence that would show proof of our elegidly backroom dealings with them. I await in anticipation for him to release those, so we can address it individually and in honesty. Until then my position is the same as it always has been: The attack on our ports is unacceptable and I demanded the withdrawal of the Pirate forces. This demand was not met, so I verbally gave him a deceleration of war as I am now giving it officially on the national news: From this day forth, and until all Pirates have been removed from Danish holdings, the Danish nation is at war with the Pirate clan “Sorry”, and any pirate that might aid them. This situation will last until the SORRY clan has been expelled from the Antilles treaty borders. To prove that we did not and do not have any “hidden” agenda, we have promptly negotiated a temporarily ceasefire with the British, a temporarily defensive cooperation with the Swedish and assistance from the French in order to face this threat, as pr the Antilles treaty. We will cooperate in and out of port battles, and begin operations to reclaim the pirate holdings in eastern Haiti (Macao), and defending any other ports, whether it be Swedish or Danish. Yesterday upon the stair(Port Morant - Carlisle) I met a man(French, Danes) who wasn't there(hiding in battle results/logging off) He wasn't there again today(randomly people from yesterday log in and pop out around the port) I wish, I wish he'd go away(or start playing an actual PvP game instead of using this exploit) The British nation would appreciate if the ganker fleets in the area of Carlisle would not use the battle result hiding exploits to end the night of PvP after a single attack. If you're short on time Jamaica is the wrong place for an attack and if you're afraid to lose your ship the same applies. Especially a fleet of 22 should not be afraid to actually go for a genuine fight which could've provided everyone with a lot of fun. Personally I see no fun/challenge in ganking but if you do it please be ready to face all repercussions that may come upon you instead of wasting everybody's time and fun after jumping a little clanless cerberus with 22 ships. As far as I and those I can vouch for are concerned we will not be backing away from a fight that we brought on our own and will now be attacking your homeports with fair fights. Please consider doing the same in the interest of a fun game for all. A little further warning: It has come to our attention that some smaller ganking fleets now actively search for an ai ship close to KPR to create such battle result screen situation. WIth the intention of this being the last action of the night they apparently log off so they can have an invisible fleet ready to attack in the early afternoon near our homeports. This goes beyond merely trying to save one's hide and is in my/our eyes an unacceptable misuse of the mechanic. We've started to collect evidence on this and should this behaviour not rapidly disappear I will launch a tribunal about this! To the devs: Please consider reworking the battle result screen asap as it currently proofs to be an exploited hassle for all fair playing folk around the isle and surely in other places as well. P.S.: I used the words 'the British nation' as a lot of people are seriously unhappy about this. Should you however take offense to me representing you here just substitue this for my own persona. Also this is a somewhat serious topic - have fun discussing it but serious forum pvp as some practice it is not desired here! Keep it civil everybody! Denn auch obwohl Schweden klein ist, ist es eine tolle und schöne Nation mit vielen netten Gesichtern. Um Euch Schweden genauer vorzustellen, werde ich dazu auf verschiedene Themen eingehen die, meiner Meinung nach, Schweden speziell auszeichnen. Zur Kartographischen Lage: Das Schweden-Eck Schweden ist eingekesselt zwischen den beiden Großmächten Dänemark und Frankreich. Da die Dänische Hauptstadt in beinahe Rufreichweite liegt, besitzt Schweden nicht die Gewässer, die eine so großartige Nation besitzen sollte. Folglich ist es sehr schwer sich "angemessen" ausbreiten zu können, da beide großen Nationen uns nur die unbedingt notwendigen Häfen lassen und selbst das nur mit größtem wiederwillen (und wie gesehen am Beispiel Basse-Terre und St. George - Die einzigen Häfen in Reichweite die Silber, Live Oak, Kuper, Red Wood Log und Teak produzieren, teilweise nur als Druckmittel "ausleihen" - Rosaly und Roseau sind zu nahe an der Franz. Hauptstadt). Auch wenn die Franzosen riesige Gewässer (von den Niederländern gestiftet) im Süden besitzen, wollen sie keinen Teil abgegeben. Im Gegenteil, es seien Heimatsgewässer und daher Unverhandelbar. Zur Politischen Situation: Schweden wird von einem Konzil vertreten. In diesem Konzil ist jeder Clan stimmberechtigt. Die Stimmverteilung erfolgt nach dem Prinzip: Jeder Clan bekommt eine Stimme, jede weitere erfolgt nach der Regelung: Pro 10 Mann + 1 weitere Stimme. Ich bin durchaus Stolz darauf, sagen zu können, das es momentan keinen einzigen Rogue-Clan in Schweden gibt. Wir sind zu klein um uns von den Barrieren der Clans hindern zu lassen, weshalb sehr viel Clan-übergreifend innerhalb der Nation gespielt wird. Ich persönlich sehe uns eher als eine große Gemeinschaft an als eine Nation die in Fraktionen gespalten ist. Zur Diplomatischen Situation: Die diplomatische Lage gestaltet sich als sehr komplex. Doch warum komplex? Nun, zum einen zählt hier unsere kartographische Lage. Wir sind halt nahe einer anderen Hauptstadt und dementsprechend immer in der Gefahr als "Vasall" gesehen zu werden. Zum anderen müssen wir uns unserer Rolle als kleinste Nation sehr bewusst sein: Wir müssen uns mehr als jede andere Nation an unsere Absprachen und Zugeständnisse halten. Auch wenn das von Zeit zu Zeit mehr als nur einen sauren Beigeschmack hinterlässt, ist es dennoch notwendig. Selbst dann sehen uns einige Nationen als einfaches Ziel um beispielsweise Ihre inneren Streitigkeiten zu lösen. Jedoch dürfen wir uns nicht alles gefallen lassen, denn wir wollen weiterhin ernst genommen werden. Unterwürfigkeit bringt keinen weiter, im Gegenteil würden wir dadurch nur unsere Souveränität einbüßen. Die Diplomatie ist schon so umfassend genug und die o.g. Themen erschweren das Ganze nur noch. Wir freuen uns aber sehr das wir in den Niederländern (unseren alten, respektierten Feinde) einen verlässlichen und netten Bündnispartner gefunden haben! Die Nationale Position: Schweden ist durch seine kartographische Lage keine gute PVE Nation. PVP ist hier ein großes Thema, denn wer klein ist hat nicht den Luxus ausschließlich PVE machen zu können. Auch wenn es gerne getan wird und schön ist, fehlt dennoch das benötigte Territorium. Hier wird die Diplomatie wichtig: eine kleine Nation kann es sich nicht leisten diplomatisch zu versagen. Auch wenn wir durch den PVP-Fokus möglicherweise als kriegerisch verschriehen sind, so ist dies nicht zwingend richtig. Wir halten uns an unsere Absprachen und stehen zu unseren Freunden. Denn verprellen kann man sich als so eine kleine Nation nicht leisten. Daher erwarten wir auch von den anderen Nationen, das diese zu den Absprachen stehen und uns nicht in den Rücken fallen, denn je nach der schwere werden wir unnachgiebig. Ohne diese wird Schweden zu einem Spielball der großen Nationen. Zu den Kriegen hab ich folgendes zu sagen: Wir gewinnen Schlachten - Dennoch können wir genauso den Krieg, trotz beinahe jeder gewonnenen Schlacht, verlieren, da wir die Materialschlacht verlieren. Der Punkt ist wichtiger, als es den Anschein hat. Selbst wenn wir sämtliche Schlachten gewinnen, so sinken dabei auch Schwedische Schiffe. Wenn diese nicht ausreichend nachproduziert werden können, kann der Krieg nicht endlos geführt werden. Die Produktion ist sowohl Spieler als auch Ressourcen abhängig und dementsprechend direkt mit der Größe des Landes verknüpft. Stagniert die Wirtschaft, stagniert auch der Krieg. Hier gilt immer die Rechnung: Mehr Spieler = Umso größeres Territorium kann effizient gehalten werden, umso mehr Ressourcen stehen zur Verfügung. (Verknappung von nicht verfügbaren Ressourcen wie beispielsweise. Silber) In der aktuellen PVP1 Situation kann nur gesagt werden: Es gibt auf der einen Seite viele Nationen, die einigermaßen gleichstark sind und es gibt auf der anderen Seite das klein Schweden. Diese Außenseiterposition hat bisher nur Schweden. Natürlich wünschen wir uns, dass wir größer werden und diese Position endlich loswerden. Dies können wir mit mehr Spielern erreichen. Also durch Eure Hilfe. Abschluss: Ich hoffe sehr, das Ich Euch Schweden dadurch ein bisschen näher bringen und Ungereimtheiten beseitigen konnte. Schweden benötigt momentan jeden Kapitän.
