  1. I tried revising my old list of the flags of Naval Action, but it is easier to make a new topic. As my ability to upload attachments directly to the forum was revoked, organizing the list is now a rather more elaborate job, as it has to be done manually picture-by-picture, but here we go. The old guide, for reference, can be found here: ============================================================================================================================================= Below I have listed all of the flags found in Naval Action, organised by nation. They include default flags, DLC-flags, and flags bought in the admiralty store for 50k or 100k doubloons. Feel free to share in the comments what flag is your favourite, along with a picture of it flying at your stern. China Commonwealth of Poland-Lithuania Denmark-Norway France Great Britain Neutral Pirates Prussia Russia Spain Sweden United States Verenigede Provincien Port UI flags: Admiralty Flag Symbol Pendants and Signal Flags: Duel room flags: Alternative flags: Map Icons: Other flags: Notes: 1. I was unable to confirm for what nation the Courland flag was added, and placed it with the Commonwealth flags. Feedback or confirmation would be appreciated. 2. There are 2 (actually 3) Emanuel Wynne-flags in the game that are almost completely identical except for slight texture variations. I don't currently have access to a pirate alt with flag-dlc and was unable to check if both of the Emanuel Wynne flags can be selected in the flag UI. Information on this would be appreciated. 3. There are 2 Bavaria River flags in-game with a different Coat of Arms shown. For lack of information to say otherwise I placed both flags with the Prussian collection. Corrections would be appreciated. 4. Some of the newer flags that have been added after the initial DLC-release, as well as some of the Admiralty doubloon-flags may be mislabeled as well as differently ordered from how they appear in the UI. Feedback on the naming of flags would be appreciated. 5. At the time of writing this, no flag from the game should be missing, but if you do find that I have overlooked, misplaced or forgotten one, please let me know so that I can correct this.
  2. I know folks have said a Xebec trader would be nice in game. I was thinking a DLC trade ship that can be redeem pretty much any where would be great. Maybe just have it with 2lbs on front and side decks and no other guns and half the crews (125 still high) so that it won't be easy to just rage board, like other shallow trade ships. Being able to just redeem one a day will keep folks from having fleets of them too.
  3. As more crafting opportunities arrive with the new seasoned wood, I would be happy to purchase an additional "industrious crafter" DLC. This should allow you to have 5 additional crafting buildings + the possibility to upgrade your lvl 3 shipyard further with 5 extra "dry"-docks as additional dockspace in the port, where the shipyard is located. Ships have to be moved in the drydock and taken out, it is not just simply increased dockspace. A nice addition would be 2 additional outpost, but the first points (crafting buildings + dockspace) will give a nice DLC I would be happy to buy.
  4. Hi Devs, Please be advised I have found a texture glitch with the paint DLC. This appears to be new as it wasn't like this a day or two ago. To my knowledge so far - there is one DLC paint with this issue. There may be others. It can also be seen from the preview paint selection window. The L'Ocean Royal paint scheme is missing textures:
  5. My request for all interested people to vote and tell about the voting your friends in the game. I think the question about bonus slots for the outpost is of interest to a large number of people and only by attracting attention to this issue we can affect the situation changes
  6. I entered a battle in the R zone at KPR in a fir+carros indef. It ended up being a 4v1 and soon my indef was in pretty bad shape. So, I boarded the Hercules, took control of it and proceeded to sink the Trinc and Belle Poule. I also went back and looted my sunken indef, I ended up with a few thousand doubloons in my hold along with some mediocre mods and was the last one afloat in the battle, a clear victory for me. The feeling of victory against such odds quickly faded however as I was not able to keep any of my doubloons, or upgrades, or extra repairs because I was on a DLC ship and they all stayed in the hold of the ship when I exited battle. And, when I exited, it popped up in combat news that Hades had sunk a pirate player near KPR, which he most certainly didn't. Pretty much, the mechanics of the DLC ships punish other players and can turn battles that should be sound victories into losses. It's like a built in trolling mechanic.
  7. After having first contact with the new flags system I come to suggest a improvement that relates to everything Open World and the battles created. - When accessing the Flags allow the player to choose the flag intended for each nation eg. player selects one from pirates, one from Sweden, and so on. - every battle that the player joins with his own Nation he will show his own Nation flag proudly. - if player happens to join a battle on the side of another nation he will show the selected flag he picked for that nation and not the default one for that nation.
  8. After years of listening to the hardcore bunch, with coments like 'the ships are too cheap' or 'loosing a ship has to mean something' or 'there are too many first rates in the open world' here we are, allmost empty servers. Once again only the (lonely) left in the game! I allso belive that the flag dlc does not sell that well. So, my sugestion is to test the hardcore players dovotion to the game and propose a new way to pvp: I belive in this!
  9. Clan Flag DLC comes in 2 tiers: 1. tier: creation permit 2.tier: show off permit How it works: 1. tier: creation permit Any clan leader can buy a creation permit. That contains a permit to submit a flag for approvel by devs + the show off permit for 10 persons Cost could be 40€ 2.tier: show off permit allows the buyer to use the flag cost are 2,99€ For example for such flags:
  10. Greetings Captains, i would like to make a suggestions regarding ship DLCs. The big plus i give these DLCs is the fast acces to a ship i can sail out and use in fights. Redeem it -> put repairs on it -> get medium cannons -> sail out. And that is in my opninion the biggest plus in DLCs, when you balance them right (Requin and Herc are still way to strong). So my suggestion: Make Hercules, Requin and future DLC ships craftable and available for all, with the DLC players can redeem these ships once in a certain time without the need to craft them. That way already existent ships can be added as DLCs aswell. You could add the Surprise as a DLC, it is still available for all, but with it you dont need to afford the crafting and can use it for fast PVP. I hope i made my idea clear. Make the fast and easy availabilty DLC exclusive and not the ships. Have a good wind.

  12. Most likey this is post #200 about this, but here goes. A casual look back over the "Great Battles" thread will pretty much tell a common tale of how typically the side with more DLC ships, wins. The DLC ships are OP for their battle rating and in the case of the requin, the sail profile with pirate rig refit just makes them stupid easy to act as circle cappers and point deniers. I'm ok with DLC ships being OP on the open water. I'm not OK with them affecting the outcome of port battles. Pre - DLC we would have multiple shallow battles a week. Last week there was 1. Tonight at Jobe the pirates took 5 DLC ships into the Port battle to deny and contest circles. It worked, rather easily. Myself and Wraith occupied the southern circle with 2 requins and the french, with 2 bellonas, a herc and a MB in the circle with us, were not able to even close to sinking or demasting us. It's stupid and unfortunately bringing these ships is now necessary. The battles are boring and no longer dynamic. And this is coming from the guy who won the battle. I'm sure the french are even more frustrated. Granted they made a laundry list of mistakes in there, but they had no counter to double requins in the circles (other than bring more requins..). @admin @Ink, it's time to fix this shit before RVR dies out even more.
  13. I hereby suggest the following: - that the 80BR limit that separates the shallow PB from the deep water PB to be raised to 160BR - that the most powerful ship able to enter shallow PB to be 160BR and all others to be addressed accordingly, mainly Heavy Rattlesnake and Prince, not to share the exact same BR as the Xebec. Traders to be accommodated under their warlike counterparts. - that the deep water ships increase in BR equivalent to 1/3 of their present value. So a 200 BR ship becomes a 266BR ship. And so on, such as a 600BR ships becomes 798BR. - that no port PB BR to be touched. Any suggestions for the BRs up to 160 value more than welcome.
  14. So, I understand the thought process behind trying to take more money from the limited player base. Since there are so few, you need to rape the ones you do have for all they are worth. Although many of us paid full pop for this game in an alpha stage (40 freaking dollars), now you've gone and removed my forged papers and replaced them with $20 DLC? Wth? I work a lot,.. I mean A LOT.. sometimes, like recently, I need to work 14-16 hrs a day 6-7 days a week for months on end. This restricts my ability to jump into a game as complex as Naval Action. When I do have a chance to pop in, it sure would be nice to take advantage of the expensive game I've paid for. I recently discovered that my redeemable forged papers have been removed. I returned hoping to get some fun and sink some ships, but it turns out my clan is a ghost town and the nation is filled with Russian speakers that I cannot effectively communicate with. Now I would like to move along, as my clan mates have done, but I am unable without paying an additional $20 in DLC to move nations. That's insane. This game is holding me in an ineffective position and has ruined my trust. It's sad to see something so cool be pounded into the ground by stupid decisions. I'm sure I'm not alone in needing to take extended gaps of play, but to punish me for not being able to log-on is total garbage. Here's my suggestion, return my papers, and allow alternative options for earning more papers, other than paying you more cash. I've already paid enough. -Gagarin
  15. Since we're considering new DLC's, I think the one which would give new players gunnery encyclopedia and ship handling books for some additional payment would be really useful. It would limit the gap between new and old players a bit. In the same time it wouldn't be "pay 2 win", since you can get those books through in-game actions. 5 ring book is less critical. Two mentioned above, especially ship handling, really make a difference in PvP.
  16. I just bought the Admiralty Connection and Hercules DLCs. Applying the Admiralty went fine, although I didn't check number of dock spaces, yet. Some people seem to have problems with that, though. After Restarting the game I tried to redeem the Hercules. I had passed the final exam a long time ago. Since I sank my Herc a few days ago and have no notes in warehouses either, technically I should be able to redeem one. The "REDEEM "button in the redeemables menu seems to be without function though. Whenever I click it, nothing happens. Restarting the game OR Steam had no effect. F11 report was sent ingame as well. Does anyone else share that problem?
  17. There could be a premium / DLC ship firing congreve rockets. Very hard to hit / low accuracy like mortars but high damage and very high fire chance. The ship should also have much higher chance to get set on fire itself as another downside. Seeing how mortar brigs are only used in port battles, I don't think this ship would be too strong and probably rather the opposite.
  18. This is aimed to the Developers. Would you pay for an Editor, in a DLC format or whatever? I would. Thanks.
  19. Hi Guys, someone could please explain to me how the DLC works ? I can change nation every 30 days ( life days ou game days ?) and if I bought it one time I'll be able to use more than one time ? or i'll need to re buy the DLC ? Thanks!!!
  20. Would you be willing to pay for DLC for this game? what are your thoughts?
