Hey all, some time ago I found a series of quite interesting paper designs in the online Hiraga archive- a collection of documents regarding warships and warship design mostly associated with one of the more prolific nautical engineers in Japan in the early 20th century. Below I'll post a number of the images from the archive for those interested. First up is the Design B39, which was one of the designs that lead up to Kongo as I recall it. In the same series of designs we have the B41, which is quite similar to the ship "Myogi" seen in World of Warships, though she has 305mm guns instead of 356mm guns. Following that there were a series of pre-designs for what would become Amagi. While there are more designs in the series, below I'll be posting mostly ones from B-61 to B-63. For these, I also have some images of the data charts as well, which may be of interest.

So now its here, update 9, with its 19" and 20" guns, its Quad turrets, and its new French hulls. But this has led to something, HUGE battleships, sometimes called Super Battleships, and I just wanted to create this to document some designs. What works well and what doesn't? What are the best designs to rule the world? how do you create the Maximum battleship? (Also the Maximum Battleships are another name for the Tillman Designs, and those are just kind of a demonstration of why politicians shouldn't be allowed to design ships) -
As stated above. I, and a lot of other people, would love to see more Dutch ships in the game. I was thinking about this beauty: (The one in the center) Zr.Ms. Prins Friso (Or Prins Frieso, written as in the 16th/17th century) I think she would be a great 3rd or 4th rate in the game, since we lack high rate line ships I think. I'm not sure what she was according to her actual history, since I tried to google it, but I could not find anything useful except that I know this picture for about 2 years now. Maybe the Zr.Ms. Prins Friso could be added to the queue of ships that are waiting to be created into the game? :3 Thanks for reading. Let 'em have it...! FIRE!!! ~ Sirion.- 2 replies
