  1. just going by what was posted. That PvE players would be attacking smugglers. Did not mention NPC battle missions at all.
  2. Sooo...there will be no more NPC battles for the PvE players? Am I understanding that correctly?
  3. I know there may be players who have been around longer than me (May 2016) but I have just been informed of the pending new release that will wipe away my work of the last 10 months. I can live with that. What concerns me is that there is discussion that there will only be a PvP option after the release. Let me very clear and very blunt. If there is nolonger a PvE option then I am done with this beautiful game. Let me explain why. I tried the PvP server and found that it was just teen-age insanity run amok. If I want that, I will continue to play World of Tanks and World of Warships. I come to this game to 'get away from it all'. I like being able to set a course on a long trading run and actually being able to 'leave the bridge' to get a shot of rum or kiss my pretty wife. I do not wish to worry that some kid is going to 'gank' (such a lovely term) my ship while I am not directly focused on it. In short, this game is my 'get away'. Take that away and I will have to use the uninstall button. A pity too since I now have level 50 craft and the rear admiral rank for the US. A lot of time and work and good friends to lose. But there it is. I can't wait to hear back from the developers on all of this. Thanks for letting me vent. v/R

    Update Issue?

    I got the new update from Steam this morning. I started the game and played for ab0ut an hour. When I tried to teleport to another outpost there was no 'teleport' button available. So, I thought to logout/login. Now, I can't START the game. What gives? NOTE: Just tried restarting the game again and still the START button is grayed out.
  6. Something like this needs to be done. I fail to see why I should have 1 captain and 1 crew while a dozen ships sit idle in port waiting for my only crew and captain to complete their mission. It's just not logical. A suitable delay algorithm could be easily added. Nothing is free. I get that. But it just does not make sense to limit my fleet to only one crew. Does it?
  7. I am NOT saying to teleport the ship 'automatically' to port. I AM saying that there is program logic that will allow inputting a start and destination for a run for a trader ship that might take 2 or 3 hours of real time that is, quite frankly, boring as can be. I can understand that this would not be optimum on the PvP server. However, on the PvE server most of us are interested in crafting and/or occasional fleet actions. As long as we are on the subject, might I also suggest that players be allowed to use their personal possessions on either the PvP or PvE servers as is done with 'Armored Warfare'. In that game, the player gets to select which type of mission he wishes to undertake. Just ideas. Use them, don't use them. Your call...but....
  8. I would like to suggest that the developers consider adding an option that allows a player to load a trader ship resources and teleport it to another port on the map. This will free the player to do other things in port or 'in world' like fighting or crafting. My idea would require the player to (1) select a trade ship in port, (2) load its hold with whatever resources are to be sent to the destination port, (3) selecting 'transport trade ship', (4) select destination port, (5) the programmers would then take start/end destination and use a 'delay algorithm' that transports the ship to the destination port arriving at whatever time/date the delay algorithm calculates.
