Is there a list of what current ships will be on the Admiralty or other list and which will be special developer gifts and what ships will be added to the normal Available list for when you rank up in crafting? I know this is a big thing cause of what ships tend to become the meta for battles (H. Rattler for Shallows and Aggy's for 4th rates). And could some ships be restricted to only one nation like Pirate Frigate to pirates only?
  2. If they been playing they won't have to start over. This is only for folks that don't have chars on any of the servers. If they want to keep there rank/xp across the board they need to log in now and make a char before the patch. The one battle thing is just a safe guard to make sure you register XP on that char and it syncs. It was the same thing you had to do in the past to get redeemable across the board.
  3. The only problem with a full wipe of xp and rank is that it will take for every to get crafting and other levels up to test anything so that would be counter productive. Think the current redeemable is a good option and i'm sorry if you haven't been active than you prob weren't supporting the game any way.
  4. Devs brought up in another post maybe giving a one time redeemable of rank up to those players that return in a redeemable time. They are doing that, but you have to have a char on that server for it to sync or it won't work. Yah might do this for a bit with one char. I'm against giving every one RA rank up that isn't of that rank yet. Your just asking for a mess of trouble having a ton of folks maxed out that have never leveled up suddenly including alts folks used nothing other than craft. I know one guy that is crafting level 50 but his alt never fired a shot and only has like or or two ranks just from doing trade runs only. Yah he would love the rank up, but he didn't play the char to earn it. I think doing the two redeemable is best way. I'm going to add if you haven't played in a long time and you haven't made a char on any of the servers than I'm sorry you haven't been supporting the game and you shouldn't get an auto level up for being AFK for who knows how long. We need to stop rewarding the folks that leave the game and AFK and support those that stick it out and keep testing/playing the game.
  5. Some day.....maybe. I'm in a couple of EA. I think this game is more a chance than say DayZ ever going live. I gave up on that game a long time ago. You going to pop back in after the patch and grace these new Pirates with what a real pirate should be like?
  6. This morning there was actually more on test than was on PvP2....11. Though what sucks is the big carebear alliance is taking advantage of this and rolling every one. Mark my word they won't stop at Pirates either. Though really I see no reason to fight over regions when we are down to 3-6 logging in a night cause every one is waiting on the patch. Would be nice if they break the alliances now before hand just to have fun like they did with the 5 min timers for OW battles.
  7. Which gives me hope we might get a reputation system maybe? That way the very bad bad bad pirates would have very bad bad bad bad reputation with there deeds (sinking every one). Though this could in the future give folks chance to go back to being a national if they are very very very good too. Maybe be able to turn pirate in game by breaking reputation with your nation and than later join a new one by getting reputation back. Reputation system could also be used for traders that want to trade with other nations too. We can only wish right?
  8. To be honest I'm ok with some nations being bigger than others. My issue is when you get the two largest nations (like on PvP2) that get in a alliance and never fight each other. US and GB on PvP2 are the two largest nations and they have not had a port battle since alliance system came out back in Aug of last year was the last port battle they had against each other. I get if two nations need to join together to fight a common enemy, but they don't have to stay in a perma alliance afterwards and pick on small nations. What we need is a check and balance system where if you have the top number of regions and some one has the second most they can't get in an alliance with one another. So they can only pick up the smaller nations to help them. Never had a problem with the Brit/Dutch side of the alliance cause it was a large nation and a small one. If US had all this time picked up say France or Spain. Than Danes and Swedes or French had been picked up that would be three way alliance a decent numbers. I know one of the biggest complain back about size is, "Well we might be bigger, but you have more PvPers." Sorry every on on a PvP server is a PvPer so that is not my fault you can't get them into RvR and if you have the numbers but they don't want to come and help than they don't need those regions either. This is why I really wish we had a tax system on ports/regions. If say a clan takes a port and region they control it and have to pay an upkeep with the taxes at that port from things being sold or out of there own funds. IF they don't pay the upkeep it can fall into a agro state and become neutral for any one to come and take over. This will be one way to keep one nation from owning the majority of the map when they aren't even using it. As for switching nations I kinda like the Devs charge for switching nations. If you want to do it the fast way you loose a level ever time. Though give folks an in game way to switch too. I brought up a reputation system would work great for this. You give up your nation and become a pirate, but if you get enough reputation with a new nation you have the option to become a member of that nation instead. It's a way to switch nations, but it takes time and won't happen over night.
  9. I have rarely ever given a game a bad review and that includes this one. Though I have reviewed it a good time ago and I think I even added in a few negative things about it in it's current state at that time, but the review was a positive one. I might bitch and moan a lot on here but hay that is my opinion if I don't like something I can give it, but I also back a lot of things I thought was great too. Though I have noticed a trend on Steam of the up/down votes of certain folks that make reviews and of how a lot of the content in those reviews is very out dated or flat out BS about the game. And I get our Devs aren't all ways get along with and the points across too, it's not my first rodeo of a dev team from that part of the world. Now what I hate is the folks that just cry, "I DON'T LIKE THAT. I'M LEAVING AND I'M GIVING YOU A BAD REVIEW." Most the time it's over something that was suggested and not even put in the game yet (recent PvP/PvE merger). Like I said I don't like ever thing in the game and they way it's done, but I'm not going to run off and write a bad review. I'll wait until the game is released and I'll prob do an updated proper review of the game at that time. Right now mine is very short and to the point that it's an EA game that is still in Alpha stage of development and there are a lot of work to be done before it's released.

  11. I'm not even wasting my breath on those two. There is a reason most folks have them on ignore now. Funny how they come back out of the wood works right now. Specially when my comments are about the actions of US/GB doing there roll thing, which is more US than any one cause they know folks are logging in. Just like they did last big patch when every one took a break and waited. Oh Ink said today that they prob won't be pushing any dates up cause of not doing the PvE merge stuff so yah it's prob going to be very dead for the next week or two before testbed shows and even more deader until the 18/20th. If these guys where smart they would break the US/GB alliance cause they won't have any one to fight in a week when they have every one down to one port/region...lol
  12. We weren't running, we fought. Runing away means your not fighting. We went straight into the middle of them and fought it out until we blew. We plan to the last day to to a bunch of small battles with fireships. That way every one can fight and no stupid alliances. To be honest for the fun of it US/BRITS should break there alliance this go around since every thing is going to be wiped. Oh wait they plan to roll the map any way. Notice ya'll got French port up to 50%. Don't tell me Rogue Dutch player? I really wish all these active PvPers where out fighting us over the last month. Funny how they only come out when they have numbers an no one to fight. Well they can have the map. Things will be different come patch/merger.
  13. Again it gives a bunch of penalties and no perks. What are the perks? Nothing. With a 1 dura ship mode that means with no means to build there own ships and do econ they will be runing around in nothing but basic cutters if your a solo outlaw player that doesn't have friends or alts. This is why many of us have brought up an actual raid system instead of capturing ports.

  15. It's really not that bad on test bed as I done a bunch of AI grinding and been getting pretty decent pay outs on traders and equal BR ships. Your not going to get filthy rich over night, but your not going to be broke in a basic cutter either.
  16. The problem is we HAVEN'T HAD A PATCH IN 5 MONTHS. And well just about the majority of the player based have stopped playing and won't be back until prob after April 20. So effectively once again like they did with the regional patch which they said would be out in a week and took a month, killed the game for a month. Cause lets be honest do you really think with there track record they will have anything ready by the 10th for testbed and the 20th for live server? Sorry I hope they suprise the hell out of me, but by there past track record I don't expect this patch until May. So instead of waiting to do every thing all at once, they can throw us a bone and give us what was tested the last MONTH on testbed to test on a larger scale. Like I would love to test the structure thing on a ship I would build instead of the crap ships they gave use I would never be caught in builds of those types. Gives us a good reason to burn all these mats we have sitting around right now. Yo know since every one has ZERO CRAFTING AND ZERO MATS ON TESTBED.
  17. I hate to say they need to steal from POTBS, but what they need is map resets every three months and chance to change nation at that time. The winner gets a higher reward than say the other guys, but every one gets something. Like winner of map gets 3 special marks. Every one else gets 2 as long as they have more than starting regions. Those that have been one ported/region get 1. These can be turned in for special paints, BP's and such. When the map resets the loosing Nation or Nations that got one ported/region gets a bonus to XP and Credits for the next cycle of the map. While it doesn't tell you exactly the population of each nation, but it gives who is the strongest. We all ways made sure French came in last on our server cause they where low pop nation even though Brits where the largest with Spain and Pirates coming in next. Brits would win if Spain and Pirates didn't work together to keep them down. To keep the Brits from getting easy ports off French we would put agro on it and than not show up at the fights to keep them on cool downs. So there are ways to keep the big boys from winning if folks work together. But something that gives incentive to play the weaker nations and to switch if you want later on is needed. Though I agree showing pop normally gets folk to join the big guys not the little guy cause majority of the players want to be on the winning team. For some reason I think POTBS had a rule where you couldn't switch to the winner of the maps team to keep this from happening, but it's been ages since I played that game. While it went to crap when it went to F2P but it did have some good things about it, but a lot of bad things too.
  18. Yah I don't think they get we are't caring about ports, we are just having fun until the patch comes. Hell when the testbed drops I'll prob be over there for a week straight checking it all out and breaking down new system and finding all the goodies we will need upon patch and merge. Than they will complain when we are the first in certain ships they don't have yet. TEAM WORK....
  19. It's not like you can gain much in a week or two but this could be a good thing. They really kinda need to do nation size upon log on and create of chars or later do incentives to join smaller population nations.

  21. 25 vs 25 would not be a numerical advantage as it's the same numbers. You must be learning that dutch math? Oh and if we have to have a numerical advantage why have we won most of our port battles 19 vs 25 or so? We have been out number at almost every port battle. The only ones I know that use Numerical advantage is your little care bear alliance and they still loose half the time. Though I thought Koltes saying 25 vs 25 was pretty funny. I don't think we have ever gotten more than 21 of use on at one time in the clan. I think the last little harbor when we took it was the first time we broke 35 in TS but we had a bunch of other clans in our team speak too. We hadn't seen numbers like that since the last defense of Kidds. The only folks that have all ways had the numbers to fill more than one port battle and screen has been the GB/US/DUTCH alliance. Who knows who will get the BLACK tag, hell we might just all say screw it and roll national. I mean it would be nice to let ya'll kill each other for a while any way. I think it's time that RvR really means National vs National and hopefully with some what equal teams and maybe not two alliances but 3 or more. Maybe one big nation helping a small one and that is it. I have two alts and debating if I should roll my extra Pirate back to Spain or Keep my Dane a Dane. I'll see what the numbers look like at the meeting this weekend. Though I know for sure my Pirate main is staying a pirate no matter what clan tag looks like. It might be [PINK] for all I care...though if we all had pink painted ships that would be funny..... Hell I might even just say screw it and keep Dead In The Red and have him as a clan-less outlaw and roll my main back to a national (not US though won't return to US every). We got 20 something more days until the merger (maybe) and a lot can happen between than and now. Hell I might even roll Dead back to Spain before the merger just to help them and have some national fun. I had a blast using him like a privateer back when it was only 5 players. Just suck getting any econ done with 5 ports. Though any way most of us are taking breaks and helping folks level up. Hell even taking breaks from the game too. Will see how things are in a couple of weeks.
  22. Willimgton 4th Rate Port Battle: 13 Pirates (mostly fireships) vs 25 US/Brits We came to have fun since every thing gets wiped in a few weeks any way. Though I think it's funny how they had enough to fill the port battle, pluss screeners and flip Kidds all at the same time. Guess patches bring out the players for there side or maybe it's the fact most of us are taking a break until the patch so they plan to role the map again. Would of loved all these fights back a few weeks again. Have fun with all your ports and empty battles. We may or may not show to some.
  23. I think it's more just a very common concept that many of us would like to see to make the Pirates/Outlaws something more than just a broken nation.

By the 10th means any time though and I'm hoping they get us the update to the testbed sooner than later and I still don't know why something that been in test for a month (as of last testbed patch) hasn't been put into game yet if they where happy with the results instead of us having to wait another month for it to be added with the next patch content? I'm fine with them keeping a set date for the merger, but it's the lack of content and updates that got many folks saying why play for the next few weeks when there is nothing new and we will loos it all. There response to this was open the battle windows for 5 mins? Uh no give us a mini patch and content to actually burn all our resources and ships on to further test them.
  25. This is very much like the reputation system and Privateer/Pirates/Outlaw system I have brought up a few times. I state it really won't work unless we have a reputation system in game. This will help keep from alts and other abuse as you can't get a letter unless you get your reputation up to a certain level for that nation. I mean why would they higher a privateer that recently did nothing but sunk there ships? This could be a great way for folks to change nations in game too. So lets say I'm Spain and I hate being Spain and I want to go to Dutch. Well Spain has been at war with Dutch so I prob don't have a bad reputation with them, but hay I been sinking tons of Brits. Cause well Spain and Brits been at war with each other. So I will prob never have a chance to become Brit at this time. Well I start by giving up my national status in game. This will automatic make you a pirate, kinda like the old system that you could become pirates. Though maybe not by attacking your own nation, but this should be an auto "OUTLAW" status if you attack your own nation. So you go pirate and want to become a privateer for Dutch. You have the money and good reputation to get a letter of Marque. You go to a dutch port (prob the capital would be best spot to get it). You pay for it and now can sail for the Dutch. You can join there fights and port battles, but you can't join any alliances fights and they can attack you still if they want since your not part of Dutch nation. Once your reputation gets high enough for Dutch you have the option to become Dutch. This will give folks an in game means to change nations and helps small nations get more numbers by having privateers work for them. You can all ways leave a nation and go work for another if you have decent reputation and not become a national. Any time you don't have a letter of Marque you are classed as a pirate. Pirates that don't want to do this and kills every thing is what we would call the 'OUTLAWS' Pirates/Outlaws will need a proper raid system and be removed from the conquest system. They raid a port they get it for 3-5 days to craft and do what they want. All crafting stops for that nation and when the time is over it goes back to the original nation. Give them Kidds as there capital port and give them free ports or pirate towns spread out of the map to work out of but they don't have there own regions other than Kidds island to craft and work out of. Maybe add Marsh Harbor as a second zone, but these are perm zones that are pirates only. Change Mort so that it's like the old Pitt's. It's Neutral and becomes the trading hub of the game. Any one can use the ports in that region so that no nation can truly be one ported they can all way's use these ports too. They can make the capital protected zone over the island area to make it a neutral zone to encourage trading, but this will prob get a lot of PvP in the area to. Just some things I thrown out there a few times when the subject has been brought up. Cause many of use want something for the pirates that isn't just another nation with restricted penalties. To be honest they should be named Privateers this way. As if you look at history most pirates where Naval officers or Privateers that turned to that life after there was no war for them. So instead they turned to pirating. Many of them where pardon and back to Privateering when wars started back up too.
