  1. Amazing post! The way you laid it all out was so fun to read! I hope you don't mind if the next time I post an AAR I use this as a bit of an example! *booksmarks*
  2. That guy sure does post crazy stats man! I fear going up against him each time I play multiplayer. xD
  3. Devin's vindettes inflict massive casualties on the Confederate artillery shortly after the armies first meet at Gettysburg.
  4. Bufford leaves Oak ridge to I Corp after taking a pounding from multiple sides hours before in the previous battle.
  5. I Corp inflicts massive casualties from their perch atop Oak ridge while Bufford stands fast atop Oak Hill to the North.
  6. Hey there! I haven't played it yet on a mobile device but I assume it works similar to the PC version. I've had good success telling my skirmishers to 'Hold' on favorable terrain (with cover of at least 70%). Eventually you'll take so few casualties compared to what your'e dishing out they'll run off. I use the cavalry to hit the unit fighting my skirmishers from the sides, but not in a sustained attack I get one volley off then I fall back for a while again until the unit focuses on my infantry again. You can also use the cavalry to shoot at enemy units as they move to engage your larger units. (just be prepared to give the retreat command the moment you take fire or even when you see them turn to face your cavalry)
  7. I poked around a bit and didn't see a thread like this so I went ahead and made one. Just post screenshots of your battles with maybe a few lines (not as much as me ; ) about what was going on! Good luck out there Generals! Tech note: I use FRAPS to take pictures and then upload them to photobucket as there is a size limit on pictures here. Armies arriving @ Gettysburg: I snapped this picture moments before the battle ended (Minor Victory) My second EVER battle fought to completion. As I was new I put the AI on 'Cautious' and boy were they! Out of frame to the top are at least a thousand confederates too afraid to approach my Northern flank. Things were pretty scary and I nearly paniced a few times as I was trying to reestablish a line after falling back from my first line of defense -- reinforcements arriving just in the nick of time in a few places. I pretty much ceded the Northern point to the Confederates for most of the battle focusing on the two Southern victory locations. After I had beaten back an attack on my center I swung North hard and fast in an all out attack with the Iron brigade, two skirmisher units and any cannon I could muster. Quickly beat them back and they stayed at bay for the remainder of the fight. In the end I'd slaughter nearly 1,300 more of the enemy but many of my units were in much worst 'Condition'. What a game!
  8. Looking at the battlefield after the map is won or lost. You can do this in many strategy games and it really bugs me after the battle is over I can't go around and look at how things were when it ended. Other than that I don't think you could do much to make this game better, it's amazing! Beautifully simple. I'm actually going to set it up on my dad's laptop for him -- pretty sure even he could get into this! Keep up the great work.
